I have a Yahoo mail account for when I need to sign up for things that require an email address. If it's a good company I trust I give them my hotmail address. If it looks like a spam company, I give them the Yahoo address. Works out well I've had up to 1500 junk mail in my Yahoo account.

He didn't have a host (I gave him instructions on how to sign up for a free one). @Bakura, I can help you with certain elements of site building, but I cannot make the site for you. Did you sign up for the free host I sent you to? Which version of Invision did you download? You need to get the FTP and MySQL info from the host. Then, you have to download and FTP client, such as WS_FTP LE. Next, you need to upload everything in the /upload directory of the Invision .zip file to the webhost. Finally, you have to run sm_install.php and enter all the info to set up the forums. If you want to have a front page you'll have to configure IPDynamic Lite, or if you want a normal HTML site you need an editor such as Dreamweaver or Frontpage.

Yes it's possible, Yes I've done it, No I can't give you the required files because it's considered illegal due to needing a file from Longhorn build 3683. I've also tried to upgrade it to the latest build 2004 but I messed it up.

It could be from the fact that your computer no longer needs to draw the window of the program, thus saving ram. Also, the program may enter a "passive" state where it is not actively accepting input unless you right-click it's icon. This is a normal behavior of Windows.

I uninstalled SP2 exactly for the reasons you mentioned. I can't tell you how many times I couldn't test my own websites on my own computer, because of that stupid security bar. Or what about the downloads that got canceled, even after I "allowed" them to be downloaded? SP2 is crap, IMO. And yes it can be slipstreamed, follow this guide.
