Hello, As a little ASM coding / hardware experiment, I want to build a portable Pong device. All I need is a B/W LCD, 2 knobs to turn (or some other form of control), and an on/off switch. I have researched this in the past and was recommended to buy a Basic Stamp. However, basic stamps are expensive ($30 for their cheapest model). Somebody else suggested PicAXE microcontrollers, which were not only cheap but smaller. However their site is down ATM. Do any of you electronics guru's have any links that can point me in the right direction? Things like cheap LCD's (small), ideas for controls, any RadioShack parts that would help me, cheap programmable chips, etc. Thanks for any help

Hello! It looks like you may be infested with spyware. There is no need to panic, as several easy-to-use tools exist to aid you in removing the spyware. What is spyware, you may ask? Spyware or Adware commonly tracks your browsing patterns and sends data back to advertisers. It is a security and privacy risk, and should be dealt with immediately. To remedy this problem, you have the choice of 2 programs to download. 1. Lavasoft Ad-aware (Download here) The leader in spyware removal. Once downloaded and installed, update the built-in spyware scanner by selecting "Update" on the main screen. 2. Spybot-S&D (Download here) It is best to run Ad-aware first and then run Spybot afterwards to remove anything Ad-aware didn't pick up. The reason I suggest scanning for spyware is because of you mentioning "Changing the start page". That is a common practice of spyware. Afterwards, try running an online virus scan to see if there was something AVG didn't catch. Also make sure AVG is up-to-date.

Try a full range of spyware or adware scans. Then check your HOSTS file. Scan for viruses, etc.

Sometimes it really just depends on the file type and it's contents. Things like exe's usually have a good compression rate (mind you, not exceptional) but there's some formats that compress very easily. I can't remember any off the top of my head.

Hey! I've heard of this really great site that focues on unattended cds/dvds. You can add all the OEM tweaks you want, and it'll install them without any user interaction! It's amazing. I think it should be merged back into the one forum- the other 3 subforums are used more than the parent forum (Customing Windows). Just an opinion, it's probably fine the way it is now. I'd say keep posting Firefox themes, maybe it'll attract attention?
