  1. Rebooting has no effect yet pulling the PC power fixes it? That is uncommon in my experience, and could indicate bad NIC(s). Has the office had power supply issues recently? Check the DHCP server logs. Try swapping in a known-good switch/hub.
  2. Load the GPO editor into MMC and navigate to the password options.
  3. There are some software improvements in the works. xper is ensuring that there won't be any interruption in service before he makes changes. Awesome administratorship!
  4. Welcome! We enjoy aussie expertise
  5. Not trying to compete with MSFN, are you? Couldn't ask for a better endorsement!
  6. I haven't done it myself, but I'd bet that http://www.adsense.com/ has everything you need to know
  7. What? Are you saying that you want your laptop to act as an AP for other computers? Or that you can't get your laptop's wireless to work?
  8. Try using VLC. It will play nearly anything.
  9. The PHP page has tons of examples. Here is one: <?php // The message $message = "Line 1\nLine 2\nLine 3"; // In case any of our lines are larger than 70 characters, we should use wordwrap() $message = wordwrap($message, 70); // Send mail('caffeinated@example.com', 'My Subject', $message); ?>
  10. Good suggestion, but I've never heard 5x5 used outside a military environment. Would it be used on TV? Perhaps more context of the scene would help us here.
  11. Kinda neat...but not sure how useful it really is versus the effective news aggregators nowadays.
  12. Thanks for posting the solution!
  13. You can also use this site: http://downforeveryoneorjustme.com/
  14. I've found it! The language barrier is right....up....there! Merry Christmas
  15. A few things... The MSFN community is very familiar and friendly with Bold_Fortune. Bold_Fortune is not Fred Langa. Please don't submit a post more than once. There are options other than nLite or Bold_Fortune's methods...everyone has different requirements. Welcome to MSFN!
  16. He created that graphic for holidays past and we use the same one every year.
  17. A more complete guide to BB Code is here. And we have more posting tips here.
  18. Crahak is right on target, as usual. OpenDNS is a great service!
  19. What is the best way to manage Ethernet ports for a small enterprise of, say, a few thousand ports? Do you think NAC is worth the effort? Are products like Cisco Campus Manager or HP OpenView worth the cost and deployment headaches? How many of you roll your own scripts and SNMP solutions? How many ports can you effectively manage by rolling your own solution?
