  1. Try this: http://www.google.com/search?q=c+c%2B%2B+filetype%3Achm
  2. We do this sort of housecleaning every once in a while to keep things running smoothly.
  3. My NAS is great and I'm happy with it. The only problem I have now is with my new wireless router...it is somehow causing a/v desynchs and is overall slow. I've tried all my tricks but I may have to revert to my old router since it worked so well.
  4. I've always been a fan of you and your site. Both are a wealth of information. But I guess it has been a while since I visited since there appears to have been a redesign. Looks great! Some of your more recent posts seem less technical than the posts of old. Are you changing directions?
  5. The download link is on the front page. There are lots of themes you can try. Not sure if any are pre-built for quad-cores. But it is easy to adjust the WMI settings to display all cores.
  6. Many webcams have motion-activated functionality...I think it depends on the software.
  7. Samurize is lightweight and powerful. I use it to monitor my Core i7.
  8. Like this? http://yoname.com/ Or you might try using news alerts from someone like Google.

    PLEASE

Most vague question ever? Which program are you talking about, fiki?
  10. There is also the built-in Google search at the middle-top of the page
  11. First thing to try is rebooting the router and ensuring it has adequate ventilation. If that doesn't help, we'll need look at the configuration.
  12. Annoying, isn't it? This sort of thing can be hard to diagnose. Start by verifying that your stack is good by letting this command run for a while: ping -t 127.0.0.1 Then do the same thing but with your modem's IP. Then do it again with Google. You are troubleshooting to find the problem spot in your connection. This problem could be lots of things from a loose Ethernet jack to a short in your cable or a routing issue. These initial tests should verify that your hardware and local machine are not the culprits.
  13. How many users are we talking about? I've heard that Vigor makes solid devices, but you might be putting too much demand on the poor thing. Sounds like you have two of them now, so maybe have both of them running but each one serving different purposes? You can use Wireshark to examine what is going on with your traffic. I've never used Vigor, but you should be able to use a web browser or Vigor software to interface with the device and configure the settings you mentioned.
  14. You could probably associate MACs with IPs, depending on your software. But if your users are sharp enough to be hopping IPs then they'll find that it is just as easy to spoof a MAC. But a solution to lock your client's machines down to an IP/MAC? That would involve putting software on their boxes. And these customers sound too savvy to be OK with their ISP deciding to invade their home machines. I recommend you pursue another avenue of user authentication. There are lots of solutions for ISPs but most of them depend on your infrastructure technologies.
  15. Did you configure the router to fail over to an available wireless signal?
  16. I've never used this myself but I recall hearing that it isn't even needed. Try disabling the service.
  17. unRAID is cool, but no iSCSI. Your best software-only option is probably FreeNAS.
  18. It would be easier if TC would provide just a tiny bit of input on his wishes for the site and the beta.
  19. Working fine for me in Firefox...did you try the usual "cleaning of the attic" steps?
  20. What sorts of topics would you like to see there?
