I would say to get your boot.ini in order, know what OS's are whom, then try to reinstall windows XP, Just one more question, when you are using the RC what disc are you using a 2003 or a XP?
If you are employed try to give a general description of what kind of job you have, if not do the same. I am curious to see if most people here are employed or not and if they are what fields they work in. So I will start it off. I am employed by the US DoD, I work mainly in Electronics repair. Have a great day!
Are the drivers up to date? I know alot of people had alot of trouble with Intel NIC's in winpe. Also check out the pinned links at the top, they have alot of info, especially in the news groups and you don't need to be registered with OEM to use them.
I think I actually did this post before and we got into a debate on a numbering system.... Anyhow 25, and yes I agree with the 16-20 age group having the most time on thier hands, the only reason I have time is, well I don't really.
I assume it would be setupldr.bin, but I could be wrong. But then again I am still confused about the topic, so you are looking to see when booting WinPE, which file actualy starts WinPE or XP?
You cannot share files from the WinPE based PC but you can connect to a network share by typing: Net use * \\<server name>\<Share> after the drive is mounted you can run scripts copy files etc from the mapped share.
I would add some RAM and then put Windows 2000 on it. Nice little extra computer. Or you coul put Server 2000/2003(iffy) on it to be a server in your home network. I have a P3 800 with 128mb and 4mb video, works fine for a firewall for my home network using MS's ISA server 2000.
