  1. It cannot be done, you need a different install of XP.
  2. No problem. Enjoy your stay!
  3. For all of you looking for V .2, it got ex'd, the current version I have is .21 I am attaching to this post for you all to try out, when I see Cubie again I'll ask about the options mentioned //EDIT// Refresh the page. installationFLY_0.21.rar installationFLY_0.21.rar
  4. Here's one: http://www.diydatarecovery.nl/~tkuurstra/mbrtool.htm Another: Instructions Download
  5. Will this support multiple installatin folders, i.e. %CDROM%\WXPP\i386, vice %CDROM%\2003\i386, I am assuming yes but am at work and cannot yet try it.
  6. Hey man how about you add the option to use what ever *.ini you like, example compaq.ini Dell.ini etc. this would solve the multiple installation issues without having to use a whole bunch of scripts.
  7. Nice program, I am going to try it out later. Just a quick question, to clear this up where is placement? and how does it call the file? I am assuming it goes in the %CDROM%\%XPInstall% folder.
  8. Just a question have you gone into your bios and looked to see if there is a option to format the date? If it was bought in or from the US the date format will be screwy for you, since when you reboot XP it looks there for the initial time before it checks the internet time. HTH
  9. In response to everyone who doesn't agree with me and my search button routine, but if you do a search for this you will 3 pages of firewall/software related information, from peoples opinions(which is being asked for here) and the info on what OS's they work, also you will more than likely find the silent install switches to add to your Unattended disc. Anyhow no harm meant, good luck.
  10. I agree with gosh's post, but I believe this was to "influence" people to get legit copies of XP, as a scare tactic almost. mainly because the SP's seem to be getting distrobuted illegaly so they assume these people with VLK's will fall for there tricks. It also could be a test to see if thier key program(WPA) will work with a new algorithym, and still recognize old keys, ah who knows we will see in the next SP build what happens.
  11. What are the file extensions?
  12. 06. Hex Editor v2.0 by HDD Software<freeware>
  13. How far does it actually bootup? I know if you have a illegal or generated product key, it will ask you to enter a valid product key and if you don't you will be locked out, if this is the case get a valid key. If this is NOT the case try hitting F8 while windows is booting and select SAFEMODE from the options, try to see if there are any major problems with HW compatability etc. If all else fails, and you can get in SAFEMODE, uninstall the SP. HTH
  14. There are alot of post's about this subject, just search.
  15. This post doesn't belong here, and your question is answered in another post. Search for MarthaX's recent posts. Please remove your serial from this post.
  16. http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showtopic=14316&st=0 Try this post, see if it works.
  17. Looks like it got ran over by a forklift!
  18. The only way I got this to work was to use a server OS, with windows XP, I always had difficulties due to XP auto bridging the network adapters, even when disabled. Your next option maybe to try a Virtual system and try it that way. I know in ISA Server 2000+ you can assign network adapters fuctions, but in this case it doesn't help.
  19. Try double checking the placement of your winnt.sif file.
  20. If you want to use your winnt.sif file then all you do is change your DATA tag to show autopartition=1 Ex. [Data] AutoPartition="1" MsDosInitiated="0" UnattendedInstall="Yes"Easy, or if you want to use Windows PE you can use a script for diskpart in your winbom.ini.
  21. In order to read the drive of a vm it has to be formatted and sometimes you might even need to throw some misc. junk on it.
  22. Yeah this was finally added to SP2 before it killed WU5.
  23. Why don't you just write a .hta file that start when PE does?
  24. @MaC Look on the net for reviews, some peoplae are having serious issues with this build, this is mainly due to the fact that it was originally meant for OEM makers not everyone!
