  1. 7zip 4.42 with bledd's icons : http://bleddyn.co.uk/tux/7z442.exe As far as I see everything has been patched correctly. Consider this as a RC version. You can install it just like any "official" 7zip version since it's not really different from any of them. Icons won't appear until 7zip is ran once. This is a 7zip limitation. I'll see if I can help changing that easily (I have an AHK script that can do that but I don't know if I can use NSIS the same way) Can do 7z 4.43 alpha3 and 7zip 4.42 english only too.
  2. Gonna try that. Thanks a lot.
  3. XP SP1 did not work as expected. Back to "Service Pack 2" it works again.
  4. Seems to be OK now. ATM I have 13 updates and all are for XP. I'll check if XP SP1 works as good. Keep up. edit : 16 17 updates ok. edit2: 28 OK. And could you display how many updates have to be downloaded ? (I know SP2 needs around 60 but it would be better I think) 54 updates, all for XP.
  5. Go, go, go, download.
  6. Is your CPU overclocked ?
  7. As a workaround, I think you can try using \n to start a new line.
  8. I'm really happy you found this; I'm really impatient to play with your script.
  9. It's normal with placebo : you never know who's a girl and who's a boy.
  10. Yes. (I know this because I use HFSlip and nlite; I had too many errors with MBSA so I switched to hfnetchk, which is faster btw)
  11. Is there any chance you're using a DVD instead of a CD ? How big is your CD ?
  12. WU may have been updated since the addon creation. And you should have taken a look inside the cab. It contains WUA : WIndows Update Agent. It's not the ActiveX but the engine, it's the service you can see in services. msc : Automatic Updates.
  13. Yes but as soon as you remove a file that had a flaw, MBSA complains. By removing WMP, I become immune to all flaws in WMP. But MBSA will say you need to install a KB. To be more precise (and if I remember correctly), MBSA says it has been impossible to determine the version of the file.
  14. Indeed. Good idea.
  15. SpybotS&D + HijackThis + /me And ewido reports some false positive; a friend of mine had problems with it. You are the only trusting *only* common sense.
  16. I have no time to read the ini file, but I can say the one on the screenshot is like "a problem happened during installation, setup could not continue, click finish to exit setup" -> Protocollo NWLink IPX/SPX/NetBIOS ? Italian is close to french but that time it has been to hard.
  17. 137GB for Windows 98 that is, Seagate has a "boot manager" that you can install when your BIOS doesn’t see the right size so don’t worry about the drive size. You already had 40GB so the 32GB barrier has been passed before. -> http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showtopic=78592

    Windows Path

Isn't it possible to use a floppy to provide winnt.sif ? If so, use a boot loader that will let you write to the floppy (the path you want) and that will then run XP installation.
  19. pS-, alkaline trio!
  20. Keyboards are not in LANG : they are in i386 directly and named kbd??.dl_. You can go safely : remove everything in "language" and just don't tick spanish in keyboard category.
  21. 2*1024 PQY, PC3200 (3-4-4-8 I think)
  22. Yzöwl is written "Yzöwl" in the HTML source. I don't know much HTML but I know this is not recognized.
  23. Can't wait to test that.
  24. Take a UBCD, add nlited XP install, add Slax. It fits on a single CD.
  25. You should remove your mail. Bots are everywhere.
