Hi,

i have'd download nLiteOn_WinUv6.cab frome nLites homepage. But, whata heck does it do? I though it installed the installation for windows update 3.1 something not?

It updates Windows Update to the newest version (an addon pack).

I presume V6..i dont use Windows Update.

I have this in a simulatet windows (virtuall pc). I haftto install something to update my computer..

WU may have been updated since the addon creation.

And you should have taken a look inside the cab.

It contains WUA : WIndows Update Agent.

It's not the ActiveX but the engine, it's the service you can see in services. msc : Automatic Updates.
