  1. @Gdogg I have NOT asked the mods to shut down your topic. They have merely made the topics hidden as they investigate the close resemblance of MicrowinX to Mindows.

    Build 2600

Congratulations! You just revived a...let me see...4 year old topic!
  3. I wouldn't trust the firmware from anyone other than the manufacturer themselves, but it's worth a try reflashing the drive.
  4. There seems to be a newer driver than the 84.21 on the Nvidia FTP. Driver version is 84.43 (x32) and its the first to have PureVideo built-in (previously costed money to purchase the software). Release Notes: - Added SLI profile for Tomb Raider: Legend - Adds support for GeForce 7900 GTX, GeForce 7900 GT, and GeForce 7600 GT. - New NVIDIA PureVideo features and enhancements. - Support for high definition H.264 hardware decode acceleration on GeForce 6 and 7 series GPUs. - Support for high definition MPEG-2 inverse telecine. - Support for high definition MPEG-2 spatial temporal de-interlacing. - Adds mixed vendor support for NVIDIA SLI. - TV-Out/HD-out support for NVIDIA SLI. - Added support for VSync on Direct3D games when running NVIDIA SLI. - Microsoft DirectX 9.0c and OpenGL 2.0 support

  7. It's explained here: http://www.guru3d.com/article/Videocards/337/2/
  8. You could try making different virtual machines. That way, if one machine crashes, it won't affect the other machines. You will need a powerful computer with lots of RAM though. Another solution might be to use Terminal Services, which is built into Windows.
  9. To rollback, just find the correct firmware and reflash. I did try to find the firmware for you, but your drive's not listed: http://www.necsam.com/Optical/
  10. Maybe you have a very unstable power supply .
  11. You might be able to. It depends on the setup executable. If it's 32-bit, then you're capable of doing so, otherwise no.
  12. There are benefits to 64-bit gaming. Since the processor handles data in 64-bit chunks, which are exponentially larger than 32-bit, then more is processed per clock cycle. Also there are 64-bit only registers on AMD64 processors, so you get some extra registers as well when using XP64. If your graphics card is limited by a slow CPU, 64-bit would definitely help.
  13. Just remove one of the entries manually.
  14. You might be able to run MacOS . I think that the PowerPC architecture is used by OS-X and there's a mod out there somewhere to enable MacOS to run on stuff other than Apple hardware.
  15. Easiest solution would be to use BartPE or Windows PE.
  16. That's not necessarily the case. The 7900GT's all overclock at pretty much the same if you have adequate case cooling. That's because they are seriously undervoltaged and every core is capable of at least 300MHz more than what the stock is if they had more voltage.
  17. Are you sure that email's valid?
  18. @Wicket20519 That feature isn't as impossible as it may seem...I was doing a separate project that dealt with rhetorics and found that it is partially possible for a computer to assist you in writing your paper, which makes sense, seeing that the rules of writing can be substituted with mathematical terms. It's a dream...but not an impossible dream .
  19. Make sure you have the receive server configured correctly.
  20. Fiji is equivalent to Vista R2.
  21. It would be much smarter to just upgrade your graphics card.
  22. I think that the malware title should be changed. I doubt most people want free malware .
  23. Actually a 0xc000005 means a buffer overrun, meaning the windows subsystem is, for some reason, accessing memory beyond its allocated range. This is either because your system is infected with a virus or there's a bug.
  24. If you're not really doing any audio work, then I'd cut out the X-Fi, since it's just a waste of money then. I would try to get as much RAM as possible, to reduce your reliance on the page file, maybe even take out the page file altogether. Install all of your processor-intensive programs on the Raptors, and put all of your movies/data files on the slower hard drive. If you need absolute performance for your applications, then you should consider getting two cheap Conroes and a server motherboard that supports dual processors (not dual core), instead of one powerful Conroe. Forgot where I saw this, but with the Opterons, the speed boost is amazing.
