Did you tried multiple GPUm best some old PCI 1-4 MB videocard? As i wrote try modern 32bit Windows to see much memory you will see there, i have X99 board with 924MB of ram in all 32 bit and MSI support finally trying to make new BIOS to fix it.

I did lots of experimenting, i have not time for reporting.. but few main things: 1) At least on 1 machine a find root cause of microfreezing - Anvir Task manager free - it looks nice, show nice thing, but its broken, so it wasnt drivers thing, but on unraid machine, when i had freezes too i have this thing never installed and microfreezes were fixed by USP3 .. On last freezing machine is this SW installed too, but i had to fix boot with AHCIBIOS - its now booting only into Safe mode. 2) I have tried on AMD970 and X99 machine AHCIBIOS patch, i wasnt able to boot with it, without parameters, no controller find, with NOINT boot freeze, i getting even freezes in Dos command prompt boot option i just tied cd directory.. i got freeze 3) Here some logs and pictures from AMD970 + 160GB installation. I found in Device manager some problems (which i dont have in my imported AMD970 old install - which is now probably most stable..), i thought they are clasical missing drivers, but i have there some conflicts. On old installation im conflict free, but i have also USP3 installed - i dunno if it matters for it, but even components names are a bit different. How to fix these conflicts, in Windows 95 was possible change some adress range manually, but in Win98?

Or thanks, sorry i didnt get original wording.. So were could be problem with command.com in safe mode? Its clean installation, 2 different, both with Geforce 7950GT or with VBE (it means Radeon X1300 not supported Win98 card). When i trying to start command.com - i when safe mode warning, i click OK and whole screen is getting black, like would try to run not in windows but in fullscreen, it seems to, that machine is still running, but monitor is black.. Is there any dos command for example to play PC speaker sound to test that otherwise is computer working?

Oh sorry too many machines, only 1 here, but i device manager i none, i never managed to detect it. I never saw any device errors on this board, only "clean" device tree, if is not detected it cant report errors, no USB at all is correct.. Standart VGA is detected ok. Brigdes you can check pictures above only generic ones, no PCI BUS etc..

Its only second not used controller, i was just trying AHCI patch, i will write details to our patches thread. Mistake only 1 controller. So explain me why they arent recognized and i did at least 2 installations, so no some cosmic error, i also did hardware tree removal a redetection multiple times..

There other know limitation of 82.69? Couldnt be that safe mode bug be fixed? I never did anything with SYSTEM.CD, how to use it for Safer mode?

See Bios and Dos mode from Windows 98 is working, but i start command.com from Windows 98 im getting black screen, even safe mode. Maybe its drivers bug, VBE drivers has thing as known bug.. so it could be same with UND 82.69..

LoneCrusader: Its clean installation, only INF were added later. Ok can we do something to fix ACPI enumerator, or this board is dead end? SIV or Unknow device identifier also dont see any other devices than already installed.

I tried and nothing changed any new device at all, but i dont thing that plug and play or PCI bus is working properly with this board and bios for Win98.. When i cleaned whole device manager and reboot no device detection at all, i can detect some very generic devices set only, any specific intel device number etc. Its very strange that PCI bus device is not never autodetected between this set, something wrong with it from WIn98 point of view.. Here are new device detected after addition of PCI bus: - im sure about Enumerator, it could be detected before. Ignore rest i did this picture during device removal process.

My X99 has DDR4, just type of ram is not problem, problem is modern wild bios, i have too 920 Mb in any 32 bit, i wonder how much RAM will available in 32bit Win 7 / 8 on this Ryzen system.. Its a bit wild, but you could install it from USB by my method.. But i doubt that it will fix setup start crash, but 5,10 minutes to test it..

You never know if Rloew dont have another patch in the pocket.. but HDMI audio in Win98, i dont believe that it will work. Solution is USB audio, i didnt try to find smallest USB audio card, but could small as old volume controlls for discman and walkman..
