Hello, im using last version of patch and Rloew Nvsize patched 82.69 and when im trying to apply patch, im getting error: There is not enough space to apply patch. Is there some solution?

Few clarification to Conroe fixing, i dont have today enough time for AMD970, this i hope would be quicker. 1) So if understand it right, have to for installation (i want to apply this to existing installation ) start with IDE mode, i cant do whole process with BIOS - AHCI settings? Im right. Problem is that is not posssible when i switch my board to IDE mode, my SATA disc is not even detected, so to do whole process in AHCI mode, i already wrote that. In safe mode i now see only ATA0106, but not SATA controller. Do you mean switch where in the BIOS, or by adding AHCIBIOS to autoexec, or how exactly?

And its really problem some controller in AHCI mode, when is not used for boot device, should it ends in same error.. Im quite sure that i have tried even both controller in IDE mode and it ended in same error, but i can test it once more, just to be sure.

I still dont have 1 machine where are patches really working, or should i have to buy for licences just to find out such machine? I trying to use only Sata patch on multiple machines. From my point of view, your patches have lots of catches and too many notes and ancient development philosophy, but there is not real alternative, so im trying it. We could communicate through email, but i see that your here quite often and i think that this info could help other people to make patches working, there are info, which you cant find in manuals even when you will analyse them under microscope, i read manuals for all products, but some info wasnt so clear to me.. there lots other note, which could maybe help passages for taste.. Your patches has some history of fixing problem, i thing that i simply hit other unexpected problem and you could everytime say that was bad customer..

Three possibilities, on board are two controllers: 1) it could be second controller used for non boot device.. 2) Is there even if it in IDE mode in the Bios 3) The Picture or log made in situation when i used Intel controller in IDE mode for boot device and Asmedia controller in AHCI mode, it booted fine with that configuration. I dont know to which information you are referring.. so its hard to say, but probably its point 3, or could you say if AHCI mode Intel or Asmedia controller? Clean installation: I changed videocard for moment for overcome that command.com black screen bug when is command.com executed on MSI Geforce 7950GT, its failing even with native VGA driver and its not possible boot with VBE with this card, i dont know if it is MSI problem, or Geforce 7xxx problem, but its annoying even on Geforce 220 or 970 is VBE and command.com running fine.. Something on this card is wrong and i have two of them. Maybe command.com is not needed and later discovered that is possilble to extract USP3 by 7zip and execute setup file manually. But important is that USP3 is not a solution, still not detection at al and i have installed all components what could be related to HW detection.. and see 2 most likely reason: 1) Simply there is on more component which needs to be added except PCI bus device to detect something. 2) There is still thing which needs to be done, for make computer able to detect HW which is failing on X99, but was executed properly on AMD970 system. --------------- Migrated installation: - after migration, there was USB device detection process, USB devices were recognized, but arent in device tree.. I removed all USB controllers, installed nUSB3.5 but im not able to redetect USB hubs and devices, same without nUSB.. USB controllers - Intel and VIA has resources problems, i dont know if could be fixed - there is that BIOS not give devices IRQ or not free IRQ available (pleas disable some device to free it). Could it be fixed? Controllers are on IRQ4. What is important except USB its working, shame is that i dont have any compatible PCI-E NIC for test network or PCI-E to PCI adapter to test PCI NIC and Audio card - both are on the way from Asia..

I only want to clarify that fix it by replacing GPU for moment is working, i used more modern GPU, installed VBE and command.com was working..

Update: - it wasnt Bios thing - infs not helped detection too - so use existing installation was best thing which i could to do, otherwise i would simply say that this board is no go What is else on existing installation, it could be USP3 or something else. I have tried to install USP3, but i cant because of USP3 is using command.com and it means - black screen on my Geforce 7950GT, i have to try other GPU..

Other possible evil driver which is on all non working machine with the patch ASMEDIA SATA driver? Do use someone it with patch and do have actually some device connected on it? I would be first thing which would be problematic with this controller..

I wrote that i tried it, before i will continue to use proper installation.. It was worth of try and was right it proved that it can somehow work. This machines is just for have to some between between suffering to make other machines to work with you patches, im sick of it and i not gave up. but feel that i should now return you something acidic and write something about quality of your patches, but i will almost silent for now, i invested quite time to proof that clean system is not solution for lots of problems and patches use had lots of catches and hooks.. and its not about other cheap arguments like bad memory, bad storage etc..

Ok, thanks. One card but its typical even on other boards, during installation is added Standart VGA adapter and after is detected PCI Graphics Adapter - first device could be removed. Few minutes ago, its starting to detected devices.. But analysis why would be complicated for know.. I just migrated some storages (SATA II SSD for other experiments finally arrived ) so i just for fun tried boot AMD970 install on X99 and its detecting new hardware new.. I have new BIOS, because i have still 9xx MB RAM in all available OS i have received some beta Bios which had to fix it, it didnt but other this changed too. I have copied LoneCrusaders inf files.. and got detection right after boot.. I will try my "proper " debugging 8GB SD card storage with clean install to verify where was a difference later.. Update: I even Geforce 7950GT finally started working, just detected and its running at least for 1st reboot..

I will write long post later, meanwhile im getting better and better i Windows 98 drivers ring of suffering.. Justt 1 important note AMD970 im not able to boot with into normal mode with both memory patches (paid and Rayer) when is Intel 1000S MT Desktop adaper installed, even with Split8MB patch, im geeting System protection errors, or NIC or NIC protocol related errors in bootlog or ESDI related crash. I have all some strange 2D mouse freezes when im messing with NIC, so maybe time to do something with INT, otherwise i can say and RamPatch and Split8MB are not working how they suppose to.. I bought RAm patch because of GB NIC and never were able to boot with it inside - did minimally 3 clean installs, other OSes are still fine..

Common man not be soft, second round of suffering .. when you trying to make all working with Rloew patches and its still not working is even better!

I checked SIV->Graphics report, i could be problem, that there are not listed 1 and 4 bit modes? So no 2 and 16 color mode in the driver? I dont understand, how is text modes embedded into normal VGA mode (if all data are rendered as graphical standard VGA mode), but if its something like Picture in Picture (in games we are name it embeded viewport - 2 rendering areas in 1 view) - this could be why its not working. I found info in SIV by accident.. On system were is working table looks like this(picture) and on systems were is not working are no check on 1 a 4 bit column.. What exactly and i need to add into system.cb for that?

Just for fun i tried in last days my main rig: Z97 MB - Asrock Z97 Extreme4/3.1 (i let USB 3.1 PCI-E 4x USB 3.1 board inside) GPU Geforce 970 4GB - just for fun Storage - 2D memory card in SD to IDE adapter - through IDE to Sata adapter.. - a bit wild i know, but it worked - Rloew Sata patch + Rayer Himem patch. - USB keyboard on USB2 port + PS2 mouse, only one 1 PS2 port, Y PS2 bios support is in the bios.. i havent proper USB to PS2 adapter for my keyboard.. and second thing is that when is Y cable used Del for bios is not working.. - BIos all on except all Sata controllers switched to IDE. For installation i used my USB flash guide - i you know find it here. Because board has not USB Floppy emulation for USB mass storage, i had to install to on flash C: and after first reboot i cloned usb flash to SD card - and cleaned thing needed for USB boot.. After 1st crash, i installed Sata patch + Himem patch and adjusted Autoexec, Config and System.ini - reboot Install continued fine, so crashes etc. I just LoneCrusaders *.inf for intel chipset during installation wasnt detected anything (inf were in C:\Win98 -install directory), i had to copy *.inf files to already installed system and refresh for detecting right names, it worked, only on desktop Core 4th gen some things were detected as Xeon 1200 platform. Results: - installation was fine, except too much memory fix and sata fix, only glitches on video card - all important devices, except USB were detected through installation or after by INF - system was stable - with Russian Bear drivers was videocard running fine for DirectDraw games - i tried even OpenGL Mesa wrapper, Unreal Tournament was playable in 320x240 with OpenGL, 512x384 too slow, but it worked only with Vanilla DirectX, after DX9 installation it stopped to work - i dont tested sound at all - USB controller were detected, but no drivers at all, i disabled USB 3 on Intel controller in the bios, after installa of usb 3.5 were controlelles and devices installed, but after reboot explorer started to be very lagy and freezes i tried it multiple times.. Bios USB settings (its for Multiboot.. so i let Asmedia USB3 enabled, Intel USB2 port would be enought for Windows 98): Issues: - when storage card is on Intel Sata port is not something detected after reboot, probably some timeout, in real usage, would be replaced by some proper SATA SSD - when i connect Storage to Asmedia Sata port, Safe mode is working, but normal not i got C: writing error .. Probably other Rloew bug / catch, i did all by book, purged controllers, installed Sata patch, normal boot, Sata controller detected, reboot crash, with driver in DOS mode its running fine.. Everything what worked for Intel Sata.. But i have not time do full reinstall on Asmedia port, i switched it after installation. - integrated USB - no go with nUSB3.5, devices detected, but system was very slow after that, i have tried all bios settings PCI list: List of device with INF files: No infs: Detected USB, but as i said, after reboot it whole system was very laggy.. Uknow devices: I wonder only about PCI System Management - that wasnt detect for like SM controller by INfs, its quite usual device. PCTV 73e is TV dongle, USB controllers are Asmedia USB 3 that is ok. Did you tried multiple GPUm best some old PCI 1-4 MB videocard? As i wrote try modern 32bit Windows to see much memory you will see there, i have X99 board with 924MB of ram in all 32 bit and MSI support finally trying to make new BIOS to fix it.

I did lots of experimenting, i have not time for reporting.. but few main things: 1) At least on 1 machine a find root cause of microfreezing - Anvir Task manager free - it looks nice, show nice thing, but its broken, so it wasnt drivers thing, but on unraid machine, when i had freezes too i have this thing never installed and microfreezes were fixed by USP3 .. On last freezing machine is this SW installed too, but i had to fix boot with AHCIBIOS - its now booting only into Safe mode. 2) I have tried on AMD970 and X99 machine AHCIBIOS patch, i wasnt able to boot with it, without parameters, no controller find, with NOINT boot freeze, i getting even freezes in Dos command prompt boot option i just tied cd directory.. i got freeze 3) Here some logs and pictures from AMD970 + 160GB installation. I found in Device manager some problems (which i dont have in my imported AMD970 old install - which is now probably most stable..), i thought they are clasical missing drivers, but i have there some conflicts. On old installation im conflict free, but i have also USP3 installed - i dunno if it matters for it, but even components names are a bit different. Or thanks, sorry i didnt get original wording.. So were could be problem with command.com in safe mode? Its clean installation, 2 different, both with Geforce 7950GT or with VBE (it means Radeon X1300 not supported Win98 card). When i trying to start command.com - i when safe mode warning, i click OK and whole screen is getting black, like would try to run not in windows but in fullscreen, it seems to, that machine is still running, but monitor is black.. Is there any dos command for example to play PC speaker sound to test that otherwise is computer working?

Oh sorry too many machines, only 1 here, but i device manager i none, i never managed to detect it. I never saw any device errors on this board, only "clean" device tree, if is not detected it cant report errors, no USB at all is correct.. Standart VGA is detected ok. Brigdes you can check pictures above only generic ones, no PCI BUS etc..

Its only second not used controller, i was just trying AHCI patch, i will write details to our patches thread. Mistake only 1 controller. So explain me why they arent recognized and i did at least 2 installations, so no some cosmic error, i also did hardware tree removal a redetection multiple times..

There other know limitation of 82.69? Couldnt be that safe mode bug be fixed? I never did anything with SYSTEM.CD, how to use it for Safer mode?
