  1. Install this update "https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3050265"it claims "This update addresses an issue in which system performance can be decreased during scans. This issue has the greatest effect on computers that have a small amount of physical memory." "KB3050265 fixes major memory leak in Windows"
  2. Im not sure about this... i mean there is an only directx10 game running on xp with this? I think not, buy maybe...
  3. Check for scheduled tasks, the process is the task scheduler engine. taskeng.exe is the Task Scheduler Engine
  4. Try disabling some services. About the tiles check this http://www.eightforums.com/tutorials/5255-apps-turn-live-tiles-off-windows-8-a.html (I dont know if they are open even if you use the normal desktop)
  5. What about windows 8.1? In a core 2 duo e4500 and 1gb ram is fast.
  6. Looks interesting, its still being developed?
  7. FreshDiagnose or Belarc Advisor Dont worry, there are drivers for XP. Look at my first post.
  8. There are Ethernet drivers, touchpad drivers for 7 on support page are compatible with XP. The WLAN "Atheros AR9285" has drivers for xp 32/64 "https://www.atheros.cz/atheros-wireless-download.php?chipset=37&system=2" If you have "ATI HD 5650" you have drivers for xp (just download from AMD support page). I dont know if you have Intel hd, post the device list. There should be Realtek hd audio drivers. There are SATA drivers (In the support page, listed as XP drivers)
  9. Yes, sorry. Starting from this post: " 1) Install base NT4 system in virtual environment. 2) Apply Service Pack 6a & Post-Service Pack 6a SRP. 3) Install VBEMP (video) and Uniata (EIDE-SATA-ATAPI) drivers 4) Clone this system from virtual environment to real hardware " on step 1, i installed NT4 with different language (so program files folder isnt the same as xp, bacause its on the same drive). On step 3 i disabled Pagefile, I did that, but i installed the fat32 driver, also replaced boot files with xp ones, because if you use the nt4 boot files NT4 complains about config\SYSTEM. The winnt folder and program files folder is on the same drive for XP.
  10. I did it. Its close the topic, i found the solution on a msfn topic.
  11. Hello!, im having some trouble on doing this. I have a Virtual box NT4 machine, i installed uniata, and the universal graphics driver. Well the problem is, i have in the netbook, Windows xp and windows 8.1 in dual boot, the boot partition is on FAT32 format (i installed the fat32 driver for nt4, also have the boot files from xp). How i make a partition bootable? Boot files are on the active partition that has the xp and 8.1 boot files, but the partition that has NT4 isnt bootable,
  12. Well, i have a toshiba satellite 320cds with 32mb ram, but a pentium mmx 266mhz, 98SE runs fine, even with a ton of programs installed. Also ME runs fine.
  13. You can use server 2008, but i think you will have some compatibility issues. Check this: http://www.win2008r2workstation.com/ http://win2k8.msfn.org/
  14. So will any new update break this method? Hope no.
  15. Maybe this can help you https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dn621895.aspx
  16. I think your license is only for Windows 10 Home, so cant activate windows 10 pro on that machine.
  17. You cant desactivate automatic updates, check "We can hide updates" thread.
  18. Well, you can install 9x anyway, but it wont use the cores, also maybe you will have problems with ACPI and usb. In some cases, without acpi support, if you connect something to a usb port while windows is running it crashes.
  19. Well its not your case, but on some netbooks and notebooks, usb doesnt work on windows 98 se, if you put a usb it hangs and the ps/2 mouse doesnt work until you remove the battery and power cord. But i repeat this is not your case.
  20. This problem is common on netbooks with windows 9x, when windows 95/98/ME hangs, the mouse doesnt work even if you restart the computer, you have to remove the battery and if plugged the power cord. its a wireless usb keyboard right? Did you try a live cd?
  21. I like windows 10, there are things that need to be fixed by us, but we can do it. I have been testing all i used on windows 7, and in windows 10 with a CLEAN install, they work fine.
  22. Hello! There is a problem when updating to windows 10, your intel video graphics driver is updated to its latest windows update version, thats good, but... it doesnt have opengl support. There is a solution. 1)Download the old windows 7 driver (G41 doesnt have driver for 8) 2)Remove the driver (with the software) from device manager (it will install standard vga controller) 3)Extract the .exe or .zip, go to "Graphics" folder 4)Open the .inf file Find the line "CatalogFile=kit49659.cat" and put a ";" before it: [Version] Signature="$WINDOWS NT$" Provider=%Intel% ClassGUID={4D36E968-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318} Class=Display ;CatalogFile=kit49659.cat Go to [IntelGfx.NTx86.6.2]; no install on Win8[IntelGfx.NTx86.6.0] Swap it, put [IntelGfx.NTx86.6.0]; no install on Win8[IntelGfx.NTx86.6.2] Now save the .inf and close, right click and select install, it will prompt about the driver is not signed, install anyway, wait until a message appears. Then go to device manager, select "standard vga", right click and update. Select the second option, then again the second option ("select from a list"), the .inf you installed shall appear, select it and click on next, it should install. Now you have OpenGL support! PD: I attached the .inf file, its for the Intel G41 express chipset kit49659.inf
