  1. I have a bit here if you want any <link removed> feel free to mirror any of it
  2. You wouldn't mind sharing the MD5 or any file hash you desire for that Dec 2019 wsusscn2.cab so I can ensure what I downloaded isn't corrupt? appreciate it!
  3. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Sorry for the quote spam. I just want to point out that those are file hashes listed in both of these recent posts, which is NOT the same thing as Microsoft's SHA1 signing key. These are just useful for checking for file integrity after a download to ensure that the downloaded file is identical to the original.
  4. Anyone got an ISO of wsusoffline updates for Office XP? There was a user going by Cababs on the wsusoffline forum I wanted to contact, because he claimed he had it; however, my attempts at creating a user account on the forum failed, because I never received any activation emails. I received no activation email at neither my outlook.com address nor my gmail address. thanks
  5. I have the wumt and july 2020 wsussscn2.cab on my server, with an ISO of XP updates (haven't tested this!, 17GiB). https://www.nathanbar.net/xp/
  6. The First Amendment to the United States Constitution prohibits government restriction on speech (unless it is a death threat or cause for treason), press, assembly (peaceably), religion, or petitioning the government in times of grievance. So, yes, in terms of free speech, I can for instance, put a sign in my front yard that says something absolutely horrible, and the government cannot prohibit me from displaying it. However, you may still bear consequences if someone comes up and decides to burn down your house, in which they'll be charged with arson, but otherwise anything can be said. Unfortunately, people are attacking these basic rights that everyone should bear, not understanding what consequences they would receive if this amendment were to ever be repealed.
  7. Generic PCL HP driver should work with it, but you won't get any other features other than "basic printing" if it has any other features.
  8. It's not necessarily Netgear that has support for XP. It's whether the chipset manufacturer, typically Mediatek (Ralink) or Realtek, has produced a driver for XP.
  9. Graphics cannot be upgraded in a laptop like that. For memory upgrade, check to see what your maximum memory can be. http://h20565.www2.hp.com/hpsc/doc/public/display?sp4ts.oid=4158455&docLocale=en_US&docId=emr_na-c00820047#N10058 I think it's probably 8GB 1066MHz DDR3, but don't take my word on it. I don't have your exact model number. The link above tells you what to do.
  10. Chrome 49.0.2623.112 I believe is the last one for XP specifically.
  11. GX280? Open that sucker up and see if any capacitors are leaking. Those things were notorious for horrible caps Dell and several other companies used at the time.
  12. I'm not sure why it said the edition was Media Center. It was a pure XP Pro VL SP3 iso. Anyway, I made my changes without slipstreaming harkaz's pack then installed the pack afterwards and everything was there. Only change I had to make was to sysoc.inf in .\Windows because of the Windows Components in Add and Remove Programs throwing errors about missing files. (duh, because I removed them!) I'll play around with it, because I wanted to slipstream it; not have to install and cleanup afterwards.
  13. I've had this issue in the past and never could pin-point what was causing it. I think it's one of the tweaks I'm making, since some copies of XP I sent through nLite didn't do this. I slipstreamed harkaz SP4 v3.1b (almost immediately after it came out since I messaged him about it), but this isn't the problem. I've attempted to figure out what was causing this before. I searched Google and here. I'm probably not wording my searches correctly if anyone else has posted on this. I've attached my last session ini. LAST SESSION.INI
  14. This is what I was looking for. I knew I saw something about this somewhere, but I didn't know what to search for. Yes, all I did was unpin the IE and pin the normal Firefox shortcut. This XP is running on an old Dimension 1100 with an ext hdd for a samba share.
  15. I'm sure this has been reported, and there is probably a fix. I tried Googling it and searching for it here to no avail. I probably just wasn't wording my search correctly. My problem: the Internet icon in the start menu will not change to the default browser or to the one specified as it is supposed to do. My default browser is set to Mozilla Firefox (for obvious reasons) and even set in the start menu settings, but it doesn't reflect on the Internet icon. Microsoft update didn't work either, but I saw the thread here about it and downgraded the muweb.dll to x.256 or whatever it was. I do have the POS update registry edit if that makes any difference. This copy of Windows XP was installed yesterday. It has updates from onepiece slipstreamed (by nLite).
