i would have to say that you would be able to play it but upgrading to 1gig of ram and a 3ghz+ intel or AMD!!! cpu would be a hugh plus. you may be getting lag b/c of the 512ram.

are there any downsides of a large pagefile (over 2gigs) as long as it is on another drive? considering that i have a dual core cpu?

?? the AM2 socket is the new socket coming out in a few months, which is the only amd socket that supports ddr2, so i have no clue what you're talking about. pcworld must have made a big screw up somewhere.

and amd's dont use ddr2

i havnt seen them anywhere. i will be getting that in about a year when i get the AM2 socket so that i will have some extra ram to put into it.

why not? just raid the 2 drives and thats it.

the 1st one takes 3 fans, the 2nd one takes 2 fans and the problem is finding where to put these, some like to cut fan holes in their case and then mod the case with screw holes and all that stuff. and some just put 2 holes in their case and have the radiator outside of the case with the tubing going outside to the radiator.

well prices will always be going down. as far as laptop technology, i cant rly think of anything for this year.

what do u mean by less memory used? since i have 2gigs of ram, memory means nothing to me, so i would wanted faster program loading.

well like i said before, you need at least 480watts. so the powerstream 520 is what you should be looking at.

lol, u got that evga combo deal. definetly upgrade to a powerstream 520. dfi nf4 mobos wont run on any less than 480watts anyways. with watercooling your temps wont rly matter anymore. expect the cpu to drop about 15C and the vid card to drop 20C.

well thats kinda what i meant, he would just have the device manager install the floppy by searching thru the windows drivers to find the best driver to use.

here we go, about time someone on this forum decides to have some real fun. you will want to pick every part out, packages suck. how much money can you spends and what case do you have? and what do you want to cool, cpu and vid card?

well its not the drive. in windows, go to the device manager and uninstall the floppy driver, then try to reinstall it using one of the windows drivers.

great raid0 support there im not sure to get raid0 with 74gig raptors or some nice 2x500gig seagates(which i might be getting a vry good deal on)

well all of that stuff sucks, i dont see how those 2 things can just die, maybe mobo is going bad? is the new drive showing up in the bios at all?

i have 2 intallations of windows and i want to get rid of the once on the c: drive which contatains the boot.ini file. i only want to use my d: drive which has windows on it. how will i be able to boot off of my d: drive instead of the c: ?
