so, whats the problem? lol. i hate wmp very much. today in school i wanted to play a song that i made at home, wmp10 wouldnt play it so the only other program that could play an mp3 on the computer was macromedia flash, and guess what, it worked. i use vlc media player for movies and winamp for music, give those a try. for the system processes, run services.msc and disable what u dont need. also run msconfig to disable programs from starting up. you should have less than 40 programs running, i have just under 30. you should also look at the event viewer to see what is going on, see if there are any errors

i dont know of something that can do it, why is restarting so hard? the thing is that windows is being loaded from the /windows folder, so if you boot from 1 installation of windows, it could be from c:\windows and another could be d:\windows . obviously they could be very different installations.

lol, jcarle i still dont think that you understand. the 3200 venice is a little better than the Pentium 630. meaning that the 3500 venice will be even better. you can use benchmarks to see this. and the socket AM2 will hopefully rape intel even more

you need one. thats just it, a computer from 3 years ago wont run as hot as computers now. is there a computer store nearby where u can just buy a fan from? it may not be a good fan but then you will be able to start using ur comp and then u can order a good one later on.
