  1. well i guess that pretty much everyone is having this error, so there is no more need for posting that ur having the problem, ill pm xper to let him know.
  2. right click the link and click save as
  3. im getting the same thing
  4. oh god help us jcarle. not one of these again... intel 2.8 and amd 2.8 mean completely different things. to put it in simple terms, intel does only a little per clock cycle, therefore it needs more clock cycles to do the job. amd does alot per clock cycle, therefore needs less clock cycles. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16819103602 this is a 3200 venice, the 3200 means its about the same speed as a 3.2 intel but it only runs at 2.0ghz
  5. ya, its normal
  6. i dloaded it overnight, pretty big file. ill have my results tonight when i get home.
  7. does it stay at 99% or does it go back down?
  8. And tell me again in what way does DDR2 prove to be better than DDR??? higher bandwidth is it so far, but no one rly knows if it helps any until the AM2 socket comes out
  9. just get dul core. if you want intel then remember how hot it will run. my 170 is running at fx60 speeds and 165 can get there too.
  10. i have the opteron 170, and i love it. if u want to play games then go with amd.
  11. i dont see why it would cause damage if it is just sending/receiving a signal
  12. not sure if this will work but the mouse should have a little reset button on it somewhere, try pushing that and hopefully it will be detected.
  13. credit card/piece of plastic to scrape it off
  14. use a coffee filter with rupping alcohol on it. make sure that you let it try before applying and new thermal paste
  15. wow, for some reason i thought u said that u had a thermal tape/pad that came with it. oh well, use the PASTE that came with it then and then change it with the AS5, i hope thats what u ordered.
  16. dont use a napkin. the best is to use a coffee filter since it wont break apart like a napkin. i wouldnt use the tape tho, unless you want to just get things up and running and once the paste comes, then go ahead and put that on.
  17. i have and amd opteron so my mobo doesnt report accurate temps.... but you WILL have to buy a fan for it. according to reviews it is about the same as a BT and quiter.
  18. its an intel, they run hot i recommend this cooler http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16835185122
  19. i usually skipp the cpu test, but with the cpu test i get abut the same score
  20. nice. have fun with no lag b/c of no ram. btw, you sig is hard to read, i cant even see some of the stuff. try making it all 1 color or readable colors.
  21. that card will be able to play it but prolly not on all high settings, no one will know for sure tho.
  22. i would say 2400mhz max as ive seen some ppl up there but 2000mhz should be easy.
  23. well if u can get it to run faster, then do it.
  24. well i dont rly care, im prepared for the future and the fact that my 2.0ghz dual core is running at 2.6ghz is a nice factor too. i dont think that there is even that much of a difference once you get to these high speeds. games will run flawlessly and that is all that matters. and what about dual core vid card drivers? i am already getting a boost in my 3dmark05 score b/c of them.
  25. i think that dual core does give you extra performance in games compared to single core. lets compare a 2.0ghz dual core with a 2.0ghz single core. with single core you are running the whole OS plus the game all on the same core. for dual core you can divide it up so that 1 core is working the OS and the other is dedicated to the game. this way you will have nothing to interrupt you game. i recommend getting 1gig minimum for windows xp. 512 just wont cut it at all these days, there are alot of games out that use over 512mbs of ram. 2gigs is the optimal ram to get but it can cost.
