  1. sounds like a driver problem
  2. lots of ppl do this, they want a great board like the dfi expert so that they can oveclock vry well. it wont decrease the performance of the ati card. i have an evga 7800gt i can run pretty much all games on all extrea high settings. when i say pretty much, that means that FEAR gets kinda laggy on 4xAF and 16xAA, so im running it at 4xAF and 8xAA.
  3. like i said in my 1st post, the game uses 840mb, good thing i have 2gigs of ram to spare
  4. Rosewill Value RV450S Power Supply - $26.99 that what he go, and thats prolly why
  5. can u take a pic of it?
  6. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16827152058
  7. doesnt work that good tho, i need to change/replace icon and it rly screws them up
  8. sry, i was looking at Benmandude specs
  9. my mom hates most of the games i play and she tells me not to play them anymore. ya right, like im going to give up playing san andreas.
  10. what about zip drives?? my dad uses a zip drive for backup, puts important stuff on there. he has his checkbook on the comp, all his tax stuff, etc. so that is stuff that u definetly dont want to lose.
  11. credit card issues... well i wish you well and i cant wait till you get this beta out. btw, please post pics of your new comp and if u feel like overclocking it then let me know
  12. hey, somewhat similar system as mine, you need a dual core patch that amd has made http://www.amd.com/us-en/assets/content_ty...es/amdcpu64.exe btw, this is not a 64bit problem, its a dual core problem. the game only supports single core and keeps jumping between cores.
  13. is there any good resource editors for x64?
  14. prathapml- thx for the virtual floppy drive i have a floppy drive which is an external usb drive that i keep in my desk drawer. i got it for free with my laptop. i only use it for bios upgrades for mobo and gfx card.
  15. ya, check ur bios. i had a strange problem with mine, i have no floppy but in windows it said i did, so i set it to none in the bios. and when i hook up my external usb floppy it works fine.
  16. that will decrease performance, but you should just be able to descrease the htt mult
  17. only thing about the opteron, is that im not sure if it will work on nf3 boards. most mobos need a bios update and most manufacturers dont rly care about nf3 anymore. so somehow ckeck into that or email some manufacturers.
  18. okay then, lol
  19. well it all depends on how much u want to overclock. with the 170 you are guaranteed at least 2.6 with the 175 you should be hitting at least 2.7-not too mny ppl have these so cant rly tell if you get a good stepping then your 170 could his as high as 2.8, if you want any higher then you need water cooling the 175 is capaple or 2.9-3.0 on water cooling
  20. check the infinity in the task manager, set those too.
  21. hmm, ya, doesnt msi like to overclock the pci-e along with the htt? ive heard a bug along the lines of that before.
  22. get the 3200, overclock to about the same anyways http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16819103535 that is if you want a venice you could also spend 20$ more for a 3700 san diego http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16819103539 but i think that this would be the best choice, the opteron http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16819103595 expect more than 3ghz out of this chip if u want to overclock, also it has a nice cache on it for the dvd burner get this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16827152058 and are you rly sure that u want to keep the card, which forces you to use nf3. you rly need to go for nf4, see if you can convice whoever your selling ur old comp to, to see if he will pay more money for the x800 instead.
  23. now im getting used to it and it rly isnt all that good ^^^^ all i do is kill ppl and the story does suck so far
  24. ahh, forgot to mention this to you you need to make a copy of the prime folder that was installed, so that you have to folders. you then need to open up the 1st one and set tha affinity to 0, the open the 2nd and set the affinity to 1. this tells prime to only test 1 of the cores for one program, and the other core for the other program. check in task manager to make sure that they are both 100%.
  25. well i have these http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16820146397 and they are doing 260 3-4-4-8 2.6v i think that this might be the best out, http://www.mushkin.com/doc/products/memory_detail.asp?ID=273 newegg did have them, cant find them anywhere now... these can do 270 3-3-2-8, 280 3-3-3-8
