or do an xp repair,i've tried what he stated n it never worked,i did an xp repair and it fixed the mbr

pc restore is like system restore,if you make any changes or install anything it would do that

what version of nsw did you install?when you attempt to open it what does it say if anything?does it want you to activate it?

i need version 2.0 when it gets released(say goodbye to windows update bug) i don't drink coffee.

i would rather stick to wmp9,all i use is the skin from wmp8,wmp9 by default looks ugly

there is one minor side affect that won't be in version 2.0... If you have problem with Windows Update after installing version 1.6.2, you must run these commands (from Start-Run): regsvr32 wintrust.dll regsvr32 cryptdlg.dll regsvr32 rsaenh.dll otherwise all i have noticed is a much more stable and faster os the new icons make it look more modern.

the only way to delete that folder is by removing pc restore via system restore remover 1.5 those files have to do with pc health,they are safe and no needing to worry about,they are info about your systems health like fragmentation level/etc...

what files did you dl so that it worked?

so all you do is dl those 2 batch files and that 293kb file into 1 folder and run it?

so this will install in windows mode and add all of win me's files n such and backup win 98's files?

foxit has annoying banner ads,if it weren't for that i would switch,bundling adware and spyware into an app isin't what i would use.and no i am not paying to get rid of the ads.

thats best but with nlite if you remove services and you turn out you need them you can't reinstall them ata 133 is faster than an 8MB cache,thats what i meant to say.when you get more memory then goto xp

maybe what he means is that he wants to install it the actual os on to the hard drive but he would need an os installation disk,if he wants that he should have one.

what i would do is disconnect the 40 gb and make sure the 160 GB is the main drive,did you see 2 partitions when installing xp?i have a 120 Gb hard drive and have had no problems,maybe your mobo don't support 160GB hard drive or what i would do is repartition your hard drives

or opera,also use giant antispyware to remove spyware,does a better job than ad-aware

usualy when you change gpu's the game on startup will detect the new card and optimze it but don't wait for newer drivers to be released since there are already drivers on the site,get those,then upgrade to the newest ones when they are released.you don't need to reinstall windows just some games require you to uninstall the game before you change drivers(even video cards)then reinstall the game after you install the drivers for that particular card,from what i've seen nvidia cards work on praticaly every game,ati usualy have more problems but they have gotten better.

tablet is like media center edition it's basicaly xp pro with some extras same goes for media center edition
