  1. i recommend you this link: http://graphics.tomshardware.com/graphic/2...ml#3d_mark_2005 (compare ALL charts)
  2. Did you consider putting winnt.sif into your I386 folder and burning new CD?
  3. what about drive letters? can they be preselected?
  4. firefox for me call me a fan boy but it much easier browsing, (except on some sites that doesn't care about web standards...but then again, i don't care about those)
  5. drop that (probably crappy) CD and create your own! http://unattended.msfn.org
  6. ofcourse it doesn't....if they would concentrate more on AV then how to crap out your system, it would work (like other good antiviruses, for example)
  7. this was functioning before, but not in the latest installer... use reg method instead
  8. they also have to be whql for windows to use them instead of default ones...
  9. i am making some serious progres with this, and will be reporting my sucess shortly...
  10. i know for these: bat2exe cmd2exe
  11. just got back from a regular 3 month period service to one of my non-tech friends. after 3 months of regular browsing using firefox and avast antivirus, ad-aware reported 0 threats. i rest my case.
  12. it's very nice but it makes me think it's made for kids...
  13. you don't have to edit the PA kernels if you have less then 4 gigs of ram. but it does't hurt to do it... however, you're right!
  14. + you MUST edit all of them.
  15. try spybot or ad-aware just in case...
  16. ...i miss my Atari 520ST...
  17. did you try unplugging them for a second once you're supposed to enter username?
  18. nice and simple, just like the av itself
  19. since my modified bootscreen work flawlessly without editing boot.ini i can't be wrong if you only modify one version of kernel, it will work on a first reboot, but will be replaced by a wrong version of a kernel before second, an by this cause the system halt while booting after editing all kernels, halt problem was solved
  20. new source engine like in hl2?
  21. well, i've been getting some sucess with the following: convert oldlogo.bmp -type Palette -colors 16 -colorspace RGB -font c:\windows\fonts\arial.ttf +antialias -fill "#FCFCFC" -annotate 0x0+22+459 "My New Text" newlogo.bmp however the problem is that new image is a 32bit bitmap, and not 16 colors palette... (note: +antialias disables font smothing) it would be good if -fill would support palette entry instead of a color (ie -fill 14)
  22. yes, we can keep it, but the problem is that you would see a quick flash of the image once the fade in starts, and that is jerky... (or at least I think so) well, to fix this, we CAN use a normal 16 color image, and AFTER adding the text use some tool to unattendendly set all pallete entries to 0,0,0...
  23. nice one Tsunami one more catch is how will convert handle this bitmap, since it's a 16 color pallete will all entries colors set to 0,0,0
  24. well once i get my hands on 64bit system, i will upgrade...
  25. hi, sorry if this is a double post; i'm am wondering if there is a way to disable windows boot logo fading in...
