  1. it must be in [sourceDisksFiles] regardless of the method it is used, ie 'busextenders' or 'scsi' section...

  4. here is the relevant part of mine winnt.sif: [Data] AutoPartition=0 MsDosInitiated="0" UnattendedInstall="Yes" AutomaticUpdates=yes [Unattended] UnattendMode=DefaultHide UnattendSwitch="yes" WaitForReboot="No" OemPreinstall=Yes TargetPath=\WINDOWS Repartition=No OemSkipEula=Yes FileSystem=*
  5. It is highly recommended to configure your UA CD so that the partitioning is done manualy, while in character based setup.

  8. whey, just tried Process Explorer and it kicks a**! thanx prathapml...
  9. hey, i think i've found out something: try to comment out following in txtsetup.sif: [SCSI.Load] ;aliide= ALIIDE.SYS,4 [SCSI] ;aliide= "ALi PCI IDE Controller" as i noticed, aliide is by default loaded through BusExtenders section, so loading it through the SCSI section is most likely to be the source of the trouble... (compare for example pciide.sys entries)
  10. how about by simply keeping the original aliide.sys? anyone tried?
  11. if you disconnect one, how many are detected by windows? (first try disconnecting only one, then only the other one..)
  12. you could create an application which would run silently in the background when you logon, and when being called to terminate itself by windows, code it to delete the content of the firefox temp folder.. it's easy doable in autoplay media studio...
  13. what about this in txtsetup: aliide.sys = 1,,,,,,3_,4,1,,,1,4 others have: aic78xx.sys = 1,,,,,,4_,4,1,,,1,4
  14. well quite frankly, i don't have a floppy in my computer... for me personlly i think it'a an omission in the windows setup... so what if it's an oem install, why lose feature like this...
  15. no reason for that, if you want F6, do this in winnt.sif: OemPreinstall=No (though you'll lose the $OEM$ copying section...)
  16. ok, it will take you less than one minute to open your case and disconnect the power cable form hdd... B)
  17. or he could disconnect the main hdd while testing....
  18. i have it as: MsDosInitiated="0"
  19. use this edmoncu, but make sure you do it at the GUI setup, not at the first logon...
  20. i don't know but maybe removing all refs to plain IDE ID's might help...
  21. new drivers for came out on 5.4.2005, meybe they could help... Version - 4.20a VT6410 IDE RAID controller ( VT6410 ) Discrete Serial ATA RAID controllers VT6420/1 ( VT6420 VT6421 ) VT8237 Integrated Serial ATA RAID controller ( VT8237 VT8237 ) http://www.viaarena.com/default.aspx?PageID=2
  22. heh, bâshrat, it seems that the "one entry per driver" did the trick...
  23. oh, please remove the cdkey out of the public attachments....
  24. yeah, this is also a good solution for ide drives on some mobos... (when combined with an additional sata drive) only that you can't disable em in bios, but disconnect them...
  25. but you will not have a floppy drive in a new computer....
