  1. i care...
  2. ..how i hate developers who create long name shortcuts for their applications... I mean, for example, who want's to have "Lavasoft AdAware SE Professional" lying on his desktop?! Can't they just name it "AdAware SE", at least just the desktop icon?!?!
  3. and where do you apply this switch? in boot.ini or?
  4. This smells like a warez request...
  5. do you want both ia64 and amd64 support, or only one? if both, i think you will have to rename one sys driver for charachter based portion of the setup.
  6. well, in this case there is no need for multiple batch files; simply remove /wait argument from every second start command for example: start app1setup.exe start /wait app2setup.exe start app3setup.exe start /wait app4setup.exe start app5setup.exe start /wait app6setup.exe and so on... however, note that your disk will become very fragmanted when installing more than a one thing at the time... no mather what method or computer speed.
  7. well i know it's there somewhere, but i'm eager to find out how to export it to an external application; if i could hach winntbbu.dll somehow to put it in the registry or something... but i sincerally doubt that this is possible...
  8. it can, but overall time would be actuall slower; not due to processor, but due to disks... for example, just try coping two seperate files from data CD at the same time to see what do i mean..
  9. I forgive you... You see, your post seemed to me like you were flaming me for my post... ..excuse my rage at that particular moment... NOTE: For God's sake, will some moderator move this topic to a billboard section...please!
  10. what, because of my shout?
  11. 110x110 will not work, u must use 180x114 also note that even it is a bitmap, you can create transparent background... but make sure it is in 256 colors for this to work
  12. ..sinceraly, Fu<k 0ff with this kind of a response, thank you. I'm not aksing to change theme or what ever; I need the integer value of the remaining time which it displayed in the left pane of the windows billboard. It says, for example: 37 minutes. I need this value as an integer value, or any hints on the methods how to determine how is this value calculated. Just for the record, I'm building my own billboard. And yes, I did misplaced my topic, but since I can't delete my own topic, I assumed some moderator would move it.
  13. the point was to save cd space, not just to disable tour
  14. We all know for minutes (not real minutes as wee all know) passing by as windows installs... I was wondering if anyone knows where does windows store this value (if it stores it at all), or by what other method could i get (find) out this value (for my detached program)... Other ideas are also welcome...
  15. stupid windows xp without support for lilo and grub os loaders, industry defacto standard ones...
  16. ...been not using DOS for some time now... same here
  17. With all due respect, why are you bothered with such a insignificant and trivial thing like a few extra folders on your drive? Simply hide them if you dislike them that much... Btw, what do you mean by:
  18. bâshrat is right, absolutely no problems with nvidia and OemPnPDriversPath method...
  19. btw, to reenable refresh rate overrides panel in new drivers, use this: Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\NVIDIA Corporation\Global\NVTweak] "NvCplDisableRefreshRatePage"=dword:00000000
  20. well, whis now works for me...
  21. c: is defacto only used for windows, progra~1 and docume~1 folders...
  22. it's a normal thing... windows are a very complex system
  23. \ is used as a escape sequence in values in reg files
