I've noticed on a several occasions that after an (clean) upgrade to SP2 my self-phones became invisible to a several tested notebooks as a "near by computer" when using InfraRed connection, and were just detected as a IR modem...so i can't sent pictures to them. when i try to send a picture from a self phone, again an error on the phone screen after about 20 secons of searching for a device... on old windows xp with sp1 everything was working fine. any suggestions?

bullcrap... maximur real read/write speed on those disks is around 20-25MB/s so the difference between ata100 and ata133 is obsolete. plus the maxtor drivers have the highest rate of suddenly crapping out on you.

@kurt: good choice about av; as jquintino says, install avast normaly, set it up exactly the way you like it, and then from the enhanced user interface (pro version only) select create silent install. you can find more details in avast help, there is a special section about this.
