  3. I've mentioned vivisimo.com before. It is nice for a change and the results you get back can be different than in Google. DL
  4. More than once a month. Between two partitions. Doing that until I have an install that I am completely happy with. I joined MSFN two years ago and not had any malware on my pc since. DL

  6. Very funny. That turned into an expensive fiver. DL
  7. Sweet. Let us know about the finished product. @LLXX- That had crossed my mind after I posted. Nice to know, thanks. DL
  8. Adding to ripken204's comment, not only are the elastic bands under a higher and longer lasting heat load, they are potentially under greater tension for a much longer period of time. I'll also venture a guess that you won't want your setup to ever get bumped. A HD that is hard mounted to the case will probably absorb less shock than one that is suspended and then slams into a side wall. Another option would be to install some type of foam that would absorb vibrations from any pannels that would act as sound boards. Obviously you want to do this without blocking airflow. That is a whopping big tower. Are you going to have to get extensions for the power harness? Funny, I was talking to someone today about installing two psu's in one case as big poppa pump has. A few years ago, I saw a picture of an extra psu mounted on the outside of a tower. Looks like a good option where two quality 400 watt units will cost you $80-$100 and one 800 watt unit will cost you a few hundred. DL
  9. Well, I'm three days late on your's. Happy belated B'day to you Andromeda. DL

  12. Hi FthrJACK, 1) Thanks for helping found this place. Looking at how solid and informative msfn is, you can venture that a lot of other people are greatful also. 2) Looks like you have stumbled on one of the quirks of msfn. Two other attempts at similar types of real time communication have also not gone very far. Everyone seems to just wander back here. It may be a disappointment, but at the moment it appears to be the nature of the beast. It is really odd when you consider that a number of people here wouldn't mind actually meeting some of the other members face to face, even if it is only to say 'hello'. I'm on that list. Thank you again, DL

    Dead lock

I know it's not this way, but it looks like there are 5 roads leading into the circle and only one heading out. You can actually see two roads heading out but one has no traffic. Poor city planning is not a problem that Romania has all to itself. DL
  15. You could try a clipboard manager, like 101 clips, that you could use to store some of the chunks of data you need and only have a smaller number of files open. All the pieces of data you have clipped are there to be pasted. DL
  16. Yeah, I haven't used it in a while either. I found their 'folder management' to be a little cumbersome. I should give it another shot and see how it goes. Having handle only some of the files on your computer can be a good thing also because it you have a lot of graphics, it can take a while on it's first install to crawl through everything. DL
  17. Yes, and it finds every picture on your computer. DL
  18. Hi iceriver.sec Welcome to MSFN. DL
  19. Nice to know you are doing well. Good job on the web page. And very generous of you to share your story with us and especially others who have/are going through the same thing. Best wishes, DL

    Amir's journal

Yeah, you have to get all the way to the bottom to find out it was the laptopguy's page. If the page is real and true, I hope the revenge is sweet. DL
  21. Hi quantumdigital, Welcome to MSFN. Who would 'we' be? DL

  23. Looks handy but your notes stay on the web, not on your computer. So no offline browsing of your notes. DL
  24. @LLXX I really don't think so. I have used sharpen and blur tools in the past and I get the results you are talking about. If you look at these tools, the results are quite different. If they do what they say they will do, then the example pictures on their webpages show results that you won't get with sharpen tools. As for ImageAnalyzer, the tool is not just a click to sharpen. It takes some input on your part to correct the blur. It is not detecting edges and hardening them. It is taking the light from an object that is scattered due to not being in the focal plane and pulling the pattern back into a central location. I think I said that right. DL
