  1. Eeediot mistake number two.
  2. Eeediot mistake number one.
  3. A couple of hours after posting this, I reallized how narrow minded the statement was. There are more than structural engineers in this world. As xper has said to me: DL
  4. Wear baseball caps sideways, walk funny, baggy pants halfway down the crack of their butts and look like complete asses. A completely nonPC word. DL <Hmmmm, DL seems to have seen a vid kinda like that lately. Hmmmmm>
  5. Sorry it took so long to get back to this thread. As in measure. Yeah, I already looked up " ERTW!!!" when I first saw it under your avatar. So who is your most admired engineer? Eifel, Brunel, the two fellas that built the Hai Sophia? To bad we will never know who built the first arched structure or similar things. And if I hear about you swinging a VW of a bridge, I'm gonna tell. @gamehead- Well, you now have two vids under your belt. I include the shaking head avatar ( to bad it's now against the rules, otherwise you should put it back). Let me know when there is going to be another video release. DL
  6. Huh? Jokes at your own expense.Your gangsta rap vid. You ain't no gansta, dude. It was a fun watch also. DL
  7. I agree with gamehead, but we are talking about engineers to be and not the arts department. It was pretty funny. We'll leave the engineers and their small packages alone. I find people who joke at their own expense to have a more 'honest' humor(I can't describe it any better than that). You know what's really funny? You and gamehead have done the same, exact thing. Cheers, DL
  8. No worries, I'm sure he still has the key and since he opened a new package, he obviously has more than one Vista CD. I would have been frustrated also but I would think I would give finding the problem a try. He said he was trying to install to a new computer and I would assume he was installing to a completely built unit. I do the same thing but if I run into a problem, I backtrack and start from the bare minimum to see what might be the problem. Nahhhh, it's easier to just put the fault on MS. DL
  9. Hello MrScotty, Hmmm, I can't imagine anyone else introducing themselves in someone else's introductory thread. Ok, it was me. Welcome to MSFN! Read the rules and all will be well. DL

They must have had some very twisted childhoods. Even more so since they would talk about it publicly. Hope it was just a put on but I doubt it. I could imagine opening this up. First thought that would cross my mind on reading the name of the file would be a couple of gorillas doing the wild thing at a zoo and in front of a bunch of little kids. Then the adults trying to explain what the heck is going on. Seen that, very funny. DL
  11. I've used this one before. I like the side by side comparison you can do, just be careful about the differences in quality of the images and their sizes and it will show you two pictures that are very similar but not absolutely identical. I think there is a setting to adjust for this. Dup Detector found here. DL Edit: and it's free.
  12. You will want to look at this thread here. DL
  13. Not open source but what a freebee. (32.5 MB) I had seen this program before but figured it was probably a bit of crippleware, but I was wrong! Ok, there are a couple of things that you can get with the pro version ($495, US) that would be useful in a business environment or if you are going to take things to a higher level such as raytracing or you need it in a special format. It takes just a little getting used to how intuitive it is. And by golly it does a fine job of that. Sketchup home page. Differences in versions. DL Edit: Bleh!, won't do a true helix. Not relevant to many but it does have it's uses. Even the 'work arounds' are weak. They are nothing but a series of pitched curves. Use the 'follow me' tool with anything but a disk on these 'work arounds' and see what happens. OT: @Zxian PM me or start a thread somewhere that describes this in a little more detail please.
  14. Smack their hands and scold them. Fire them. DL
  15. If you just want to give it a quick spin. It will let you see the similarities or differences between MS and linux. Plus it's nice to have on hand. Link DL
  16. Well, if he is like us, then the company is to small to have a sys-admin or even someone who is trained in computer related things. We don't need our comps strung together. I prefer them to be unconnected so any problems on one are isolated. Written or verbal rules should be enough in the way of guidelines on the use of company comps or even one's own personal ethics. If someone is not trustworthy, then they are not worth having as employees. Mistakes aside, I trust the guys I work with 100%. I am guessing twig123 is in need of a legitimate reason to get rid of the employee. Now to what nitroshift asked. Answere? DL
  17. Welcome to MSFN, Black Wolf. DL
  18. Sniff out the best and blow off the rest. Welcome to MSFN. DL
  19. Don't know if these work or even if they will work for you but these to are free: Funnyvoice Morphvox jr. Good luck. DL
  20. Got this from the website jaclaz indicated. DL
  21. All true. I can't speak for the batteries in laptops but when charging multicell batteries, the charging process can generate heat until it has finished charging. So, in the morning, your battery might have finished charging and cooled off by the time you get to it. But, I said, I'm not sure about laptops. Regular use does seem to make batteries last longer. I've not read the page indicated by jaclaz, but I will. DL
