  1. If you are having issues with Windows after removing components and have come to ask for help, please attach (not paste) your Last Session.ini file to your post to facilitate quicker assistance. Right there, top of the page
  2. You are using nLite 1.4.5. Use 1.4.9.1. Also, you can't directly integrate wmp11-windowsxp-x86-enu.exe Cheers
  3. Which preset is that? Did you download/find/get somebody else's preset? They should usually be avoided, as they cause troubles and are a good example that taking a shortcut doesn't pay off.
  4. Yes. For starters, please attach your Last Session.ini. This could be an nLite issue, so it belongs in the nLite forum. Are we talking about nLite here? The correct way to slipstream AHCI is TXT mode http://xdot.tk/nliteimages.html pic #9.Finally, if it is the driver, Fernando has a few modified drivers, but you need to say which manufacturer they belong to, so we can direct you. Cheers
  5. And have you looked at the temperatures and fan RPMs in BIOS? Is computer shutdown enabled at a certain temperature? It's also a good place to check the voltages of the PSU. Cheers
  6. Or use Unlocker; it will take a while and you will have to empty Recycle Bin, but it works.
  7. You can check for sure by opening Last Session_u.ini
  8. @dstk You should take a look at this http://www.msfn.org/board/topic/143335-windows-2000-on-amd-790gxsb750-890gxsb850-motherboards/
  9. SATA drivers http://driverpacks.n...s-storage/11.11 The application itself http://driverpacks.n...ications/latest Help with DriverPacks http://driverpacks.n...uide-windows-xp The most important thing: first run nLite, then DriverPacks. Cheers
  10. If you mean adding different SATA drivers, you can only do that through DriverPacks. If you add SATA drivers manually through nLite, nLite will integrate all, but use the last one added. Cheers
  11. You are saying that setup does not recognize your HDD? Are you using IDE/SATA/AHCI in BIOS?
  12. XP SP3 - http://www.microsoft...ails.aspx?id=24 Read the manual and see what it uses; for nVidia, AMD and Intel there are customized SATA drivers in the sticky topics here http://www.msfn.org/...d-raid-drivers/ http://www.msfn.org/...d-ahci-drivers/ http://www.msfn.org/...ivers-on-an-xp/EDIT: Looks like you need VIA, which you can get from here http://www.viaarena.com/displaydrivers.aspx?PageID=1&OSID=1&CatID=1180&SubCatID=167 You remove according to your needs; however, there is a topic on what NOT to remove to keep a functional system http://www.msfn.org/...-some-programs/Cheers
  13. Updated to latest version 09/01/2012 Rev.4238 by clsid
  14. I should report that recently v.0.79 has been reported as a virus (Win32:Malware-Gen) by Avast! 6 Free. I already sent out a "false positive" report, but you should do something as well. Cheers
  15. Hi. Can you post a screenshot of Device Manager and / or the Properties window? Also, can you provide the Hardware IDs found in the Properties window / Details? Cheers
  16. A live system means an installed copy of XP on your PC, meaning I told you how to change it both in nLite AND on an already installed XP Cheers

    XP SP3

Welcome to MSFN. This is the download location from Microsoft http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?id=24 It's very possible that you have a corrupted download of SP3, so retry the download. As for this part "but nlite is looking for RVMUpdatePackSP3_1.0.3.7z ", I don't know how that happened. nLite doesn't ask for anything and will accept either of the both. Of course, you can use the (Post-SP3) Update pack as well, but after SP3. Cheers
  18. Well, the first Last Session.ini is even cleaner than the second, which adds to the confusion. Have you tried a session (test install disk) where you manually set the services to Automatic/Manual/Disabled? Also, have you tried this tool http://www.msfn.org/board/topic/120444-how-to-install-windows-from-usb-winsetupfromusb-with-gui/ ? Cheers
  19. 2. In nLite here http://xdot.tk/nliteimages.html pic #36; on a live system in Folder Options/Do not cache thumbnails. 3. No; some laptops have it, but you still need software. 7. Windows Update... Cheers
  20. Search around, especially for posts by fdv; it's one thing to remove IE, and another to remove IE core. Cheers
  21. A few things: All the updates labeled "Windows XP", all .NET Framework updates and all IE8 updates cannot be directly integrated into nLite. At the same time, try to use short paths for update folders, such as C:\Updates, and try to avoid the Desktop as a folder to add updates from. Cheers
  22. Welcome to MSFN. It would help a lot if you posted the Last Session.ini file, which you can find in C:\ Program Files\nLite\Presets Cheers
