  1. The funny thing is, I have not installed a WHQL driver on this PC. It was primarily installed with nLite and I have used your modded drivers since. The first installed is 03/24/2010, 3.2.1548.37 from file oem0.inf in /WINDOWS/inf More info (according to SIW): North Bridge AMD 780G South Bridge AMD SB700
  2. They are not working on a live system, SB750 or SB780, not sure at the moment. The previous ones have always worked on a live system as well. The line in the ahcix86.inf file is correct %NapaDesc%=Napa_Inst,PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_4391&CC_0106, but it says a better hardware was not found. I'll check out the actual file from the AMD package and report. Cheers

  4. artur72, just skip over at RyanVM's forum and download one of the many add-ons for .NET; at this stage the Silent .NET Maker is not really good with the latest updates for .NET 2.0 and 3.5. Another thing: Yes, you can communicate in Polish, but remember that the discussions in this forum are led in English Cheers
  5. The OS is listed in the title (XP x86 SP3). I wish that were the case, but I know for sure this system works in IDE and does not have SATA. I will re-check anyway, and I'll definitely try removing it from Safe Mode (I suppose this will force it to reinstall the controller on reboot, right?)Cheers
  6. http://xdot.tk/nliteimages.html pic #36. I fired up nLite to get to the exact place, but I'm getting some error. Just browse there and you will find a tickable box to disable Tour. Cheers
  7. Google is your friend http://support.microsoft.com/kb/311489 And BTW, there is an nLite tweak. Cheers
  8. So, the DVD-ROM is visible to Windows in Device Manager, but not under Disk Management. It's got a yellow question mark and it says the driver is corrupt or missing. It's not like there are a lot of driver alternatives for this, so what would you guys do? My idea is that installing IMAPI 2.0 http://www.microsoft...ang=en&id=17073 will overwrite cdrom.sys with a newer version 5.1.2600.5593, but will that do the trick? What happens to the other files listed in the Driver properties: storprop.dll, redbook, sys, imapi.sys? Thanks in advance
  9. Much appreciated! Welcome to MSFN
  10. MS releases hotfixes according to very specific needs or scenarios, but this one is about something that could actually happen to people working with sysprep, so I decided to add it here http://support.micro....com/kb/2500511 A very nice list here LINK REMOVED IN ACCORDANCE WITH RULE 1b for the few that don't already know it. Cheers
  11. Ain't that the truth with all of us? (In order not to be completely off topic, I switched to Avast! Free 6. The only thing that bothers me is that it gets stuck for about a minute when scanning large folders, e.g. >1GB, even when the option to scan all files is not chosen).
  12. Updated to latest version 23/06/2011 Rev.3904 by clsid
  13. When you say 3rd try, I hope you don't mean three runs/sessions of nLite over the same source (folder with XP files). You have to start with a new copy every time. And also what you said. Now, USB support is native to XP, but it was constantly updated by MS, and I see you are using XP SP0 and not integrating service packs. Thirdly, chipset drivers update the southbridge on your motherboard, thus USB functions. Just for the sake of comparison, most USB drivers on my system are version 5.1.2600.5512 from Service Pack 3. Another thing: I wouldn't remove DirectX. If you want to cut down on space, Manual Install and Upgrade will save you 40MB (unless you are going to use the CD for manual install/upgrade). Welcome to MSFN.
  14. I have some experience with SNM and I can say it definitely works with the updates in the first post. Now, if one is eager enough to go back some 5 pages from the end, they will see up to which point the updates go. For me, it started failing with the 3-4 updates that needed to be repacked with IExpress. Taking into consideration 2 things: 1. The newer updates surely supersede a lot of the old ones; 2. SNM itself includes a lot of .MST files that contain fixes for proper update installation, absent for the newer updates; I'm not too sure it's still a good idea to use it.
  15. Is this it? http://www.siliconimage.com/support/searchresults.aspx?pid=28&cat=3 However, one should look out for the first section etc.

  17. Well, since the last entry on the official website http://www.nliteos.com/ is dated Sept. 2008, I don't think new descriptions will be added. However, a lot of them are really self-explanatory. It's the ones in red you should be careful with, and they (most of them) are explained. Cheers
  18. It will save the settings in your Last Session.ini, but it will not import them automatically in nLite for next time.
  19. It doesn't; if the box is not ticked you have to select it and import it manually.
  20. This is the important part as far as nLite is concerned, as seen here http://xdot.tk/nliteimages.html pics # 10 and #11 No need to there is no such thing.Cheers
  21. I voted in this poll while there was only one thing to vote about. Now a second part has been added and I can't vote unless I delete my previous vote for what is now the first part. So, is splitting polls possible here? Cheers
  22. sniff sniff... smells like two bans
  23. Well, under the Windows 7 tab it says they are for SB8xx, but no info under the Vista and XP tab. I'm downloading the XP package now and will take a look. Edit: It contains versions for SB6xx, SB7xx and SB8xx, but no changes here. The newest is for SB8xx, and it is the one from post #134, namely 3.3.1540.13. Cheers
