For those rare times I really need DOS I just load a VMWare DOS session.

Just plug your server into the router......DONE. It's really no more complicated than that. There is no such thing as a RJ45 splitter short of a hub. There are splitters that will use the other two pair in a cat5 cable but that wont help you any.

FYI, there is no DOS in an NT based OS, only DOS emulation.

The remote desktop user must be an administrator account and you can only have two simultaneously logins with remote desktop. Terminal Services clients are a different story. They can be users and you can have as many as you want logged in at a time, assuming you have enough licenses for the users.

Are the jumper setting right on the drive? My guess is that you are putting the drive in with the factoy jumper settings (Master) and that is conflicting with your other Master drive. With WD drives you will have to set the 80GB as a master and the 250GB as a slave. This is only if you are putting those two on the same channel, if yo are putting the 250GB on the same channel as a CDrom drive you will still need to jumper the 250GB as a slave and the CD as a master.

You should put the drive in the computer you are going to be installing XP on. Then partition, format and install on that computer. What I am guessing is happening is that the BIOS recognizes the hard drive a bit differently in your computer then the Packard Bell. So when you put the drive in the PB the formatting is a bit off.

While I'm sure someone knows, this is not the place to ask. BTW, I do have notes on how to make XP pro into a Corp. or OEM version but it just allows you to use a corp. or OEM key to install, you would still have activation. I don't think it is possable to do this with a Home version. Why do you want to do this?

I used to watch it all the time till G4 took over. Now it' s not worth watching. 90% of the programing is geared around gaming, I'm not a gamer so it's just another usless channel for me. However, I do agree with the Norton comment but for me it's any thing with the name Symantec or Intuit name on it.

Not with XP they don't. As far as the OP, I don't know how to tell from just the key. If you have a key for each machine and proof that you have a unique key for the amount of machines you have just load the VLK keys on all the machines. Or you could just call Microsoft and see if they can help sort it out.

Do you log into a domain? Do you have rights to change the "My Documents" location? My first thought was that you log onto a domain and the admin of that domain forces the location for easy managment. Or if it is not controled by a domain you could run gpedit.msc and look there.
