Well it might be a little slower at first but dont you agree that xp is faster because there are so many tweaks and tips for it? i mean whenever i install an xp i spend more than 20 minutes changing the settings and disabling services... i guess if you learn all the tweaks and tips on vista youll be pleased with it. The main reason i kept the vista installed was that I NEVER GOT ANY BLUE SCREEN in it.i used to get at least one error in xp whether it was a blue screen or file crashing issue but in vista i only had a minor problem with a nero plugin and that was it.everything works smooth in my vista

lol i dont think any security software remove a txt file as theres noway a txt file be dangrous(unless its not actualy a txt file).anyway process monitor can be helpfull indeed,you might also wanna take a look at Filemon and Diskmon. see the list of sysinternals tools HERE. Good Luck

Im afraid not.i never seen anything that would do this and looks impossible.such a layer maker software needs to edit the game files.so technicaly it will be a new game

i used the trial version of this software and it really got worse than ver6.there are so many lighter softwares that actualy do a BETTER JOB than system mechanic 7 (some of them for free ) .

whats the os's? if xp home/pro then: make sure you are using "obtain ip address automaticly". make sure all of the computers using the same workgroup name and disable the simple file sharing in folder option. make sure netbios and client for microsoft network and file and printer sharing protocols are enabled in the properties of both pc's network adapters.

My brother's xp keeps scanning system before windows starts like the times windows hasnt been shut down properly.now i know ive seen this problem before in here but couldnt find it. how can i remove it?

If you get timeouts then theres something wrong with your connectivity that is lagging your games.i dont think it does have anything to do with the facts that you are using USB modem but it might be with the modem you use. by any chance dont you know if any other pc in the network experiencing the same? if yes then you gotta check the gateway or the isp you get the connection from.and if noone else get these packet loss's then theres something wrong with your pc.
