creating second local area connection..
Woomera replied to silzazsyh's topic in Networks and the Internet
first make sure the lan cards are all installed properly.then disconnect from any outside network just make a back-to-back connection between 2 pc's.turn off all firewall's and internet security's and then click on repair on both cards.then report here what are the ip's of 2 cards after repair. if both share the same NETID then try to ping each pc from the other one. -
Looks to me its just an interface to the original backup tool of windows ,dont know maybe im wrong

You have to do the job yourself we just provide you with the info you probably couldnt find by your own.anyway see THIS LIST for details on xp services and remove any that is not needed by xp or you. and also its a good idea to fill in all the infos when youre making the iso to make it unattended. Good luck.

lol you reminded me of my own edited version of xp made for gaming.anyway you can remove any services that is not need by your games and yet not need by your xp in order to boot-up.my best shot was 386mb(or near it). You might wanna take a look at these topics first: http://www.msfn.org/board/Remove_Programs_t66361.html http://www.msfn.org/board/Complete_Beginne...end_t28005.html

Is Zone Alarm for Vista Good? and safe to use?
Woomera replied to iceangel89's topic in Malware Prevention and Security
Ive never used ZoneAlarm since i was in highschool seeing some critical bugs in the product. but i can tell you one thing, the Kaspersky Firewall included in KIS is so much more powerfull than the previous versions and i guess among the current avaliable firewalls it will get in the top3 list of comparisons list. -
Im wondering if you tried any other software before you run Ccleaner? my favorite is TuneUp Utilities. i heard ccleaner names alot recommended by many users in this forum,im just gonna try it out and see if its any good.

John invited his mother over for dinner. During the meal his mother couldn't help noticing how beautiful John's roommate was. She had long been suspicious of a relationship between John and his roommate and this only made her more curious. Over the course of the evening, while watching the two interact, she started to wonder if there was more between John and the roommate than met the eye. Reading his mom's thoughts, John volunteered, "I know what you must be thinking, but I assure you, Julie and I are just roommates." About a week later, Julie came to John and said, "Ever since your mother came to dinner, I've been unable to find the beautiful gravy ladle. You don't suppose she took it, do you?" John said, "Well, I doubt it, but I'll write her a letter just to be sure." So, he sat down and wrote, "Dear Mother, I'm not saying you 'did' take a gravy ladle from my house, and I'm not saying you 'did not' take a gravy ladle. But, the fact remains that one has been missing ever since you were here for dinner." Several days later, John received a letter from his mother which read: "Dear Son, I'm not saying that you 'do' sleep with Julie, and I'm not saying that you 'do not' sleep with Julie. But, the fact remains that if she was sleeping in her own bed, she would have found the gravy ladle by now. Love, Mom.
