The screensaver suppose to be disable while you are in fullscreen mode or watching a movie right? well whenever im watching a movie in fullscreen mode screensaver starts in the set time but it should not while im in fullscreenmode playback. Im using jetaudio7 and and i checked disabling screensaver in full screen but still it happens.this only doesnt happen to WMP. any solution?

i choose full pc backup that backup whole windows files.then in the start its fails the preperation with this error: Any ideas?

i got the snort and read the manual and then downloaded 2 rule sets from their website.one is the community made one that is open for public and the SNAPSHOT one is avliable to registered users. the community one doesnt have any CONF file to set in snort so i dont know whats the use of it but the second file have a snort.conf in it but when i put it in snort for use i get an error: I use vista if it helps anyhow.

i have an small website with nice amount of visitors per day and enough registered members.though the forum is almost empty and no matter if i post a cool or useful topic still views are good but no replies.and members show no activity on the forum and none of them ever made any post.i know that because of low number of posts and members people wouldnt like to post but as far as i know everyforum starts like that. so any idea's or suggestion's on how to make them show activity on the forum? any tip's? Sorry that i cant give any details on the website or the forum.

this thread has beend posted before but anyway for AV kaspersky supports vista very well and it works perfect. as for the firewall you can use kaspersky internet security comes with a firewall.Jetico firewall 2 is also avaliable for vista and its on the second place in MATOUSEC leaktest results. though i recommend KIS as i always had problems with jetico.

Seems like i had to make a topic for this.anyway most of anti-rrotkits are not compatible with vista and gives BSOD or system crashes or simply cant run. only one running was ROOTKIT REVEALER from sysinternals(i guess so) and it was running but with compatibility issues. now anyone knows of any anti rootkit compatible with vista?

i dont know what you mean DVD utility but i use: Alcohol for my virual drive/imaging/image burning Nero for burning data/audio/video Jetaudio and WMP11 for playback's(including dvd's.though i used to use power DVD for dvd playback's) PowerProducer for creating DVD/CD 's

i dont think that the problem is the SATA hd cause your system doesnt detect the bootable cd anyway.tell me,is your cd/dvd rom attached to same cable as your ide drive? if it is then when you remove the ide hd do you choose the correct primary/master switch in back of the drive?

yep i found the tool and also found the commands for bcedit.exe to change it manualy.thanks anyway. i prefer to uninstall it as its so useless when u have Spybot installed but disabling it will work too.thanks

i guess i described it wrong for u guys. i dont wanna change the name i wanna edit the list.in winxp in system properties>advanced>startup and recovery there was an edit botton that would open a txt file which u could edit the list of os's and of course their name as they appear in system startup.also you could add an os pointing to an specific driver with some parameters or remove an os.thats what i wanna do,i formatted the partition with winxp on and now i wanna remove it from the list. i know i can remove it with vlite but i wanna remove it from my current installed vista

Of course not.i chose a drive in my second HDD. i havnt written anything or changed anything on the first hdd so i can recover with r-studio.its the only program that can restore files with the folders structures and even filenames.
