i dont get it, whats so good about NOD32 except for the proactive system that may end up pointing the wrong alert. by the av-comparitives results which i rely on NOD32 is not as good as Av's like AVK,KAV,Avira...

have anyone yet found a test on comodoAV? really like to see how good it is... oh BTW its free so add it up to your free av list

i have the same question,i wanna try a unix system and see if i can get use to it but theres diffrent idea's posted on this post.i really want it to need as less as possible shell/command moderation and use,more like windows if i wanna compare. so what should i choose?

i had a problem using a tv/video external product so i did a fresh windows xp pro install,then i insalled motherboard drisers like agp driver and then installed the driver for "ATI Radeon 9600" and then direct 9.0c.after all i installed the software named "cinergy tv" that comes from the product vendor and have beedn tested on vista that worked.the problem is that everytime i try to run this program system restarts. im looking for the reason this happens,anyone?

ok so i thought id give a beta/RC release of a software a try for the firstime and i installed comodo3.i gotta confess its one hell of a firewall. exactly what i wanted.so much better organized and featured than the version 2

im looking for a SIMPLE,JUST A FIREWALL for my vista.i dont want any registry guard,malware guard,spam guard,system guard,body guard... or ballons flying on my desktop telling me my registry has been ACCESSED by explorer.exe i used to love my free sygate firewall until Syamntec decided to ruin my life and other's like they always do. i just want a simple firewall that monitor and control my application/system network activity and might have some default attack detection and runs on vista. i would really appreciate it if someone point out a good software

LOL actualy i did that,i had a USB conenction modem so i borrowed my friend LAN connection modem and i had so much less problems so i bought a PLANET modem and now its so much better. yeah exactly,it doesnt happen all the times so its kinda wierd.if it was a virus it would be persistant. So im guessing the main problem is from my isp and the new modem is din a better job for me.

i have an ADSL connection through a usb modem.nothing else is between the modem and pc or modem and isp.dont know what they use in isp though and im using vista 32bit with KIS7.

so i have this problem starting 1week ago,i lose my connectivity like every hour/30min and i have all packets lost and after like 20-30sec it gets back to normal.or sometimes i have like 30% packet lost for 20min or so.so icontacted my isp and they checked for my account and they said theres no problem with the line or account and its a virus or worm or something that is doing this. now i have KIS7 on autoupdate and spybot-search&destroy and everything seems clean.i wanted to know if theres anyone knows of any vorus/work/malware that can cause such a thing to look for?

i didnt a search for this threat and there has already been some posts but couldnt find my answer.im looking for a free proxy software for sharing internet on my home lan with other computers,now so far i came to freeproxy which is light and easy to use like i want but IT ONLY FORWARD HTTP connections.now im looing for something that forward any packet on any port like NAt in microsoft RAS servers. i also dont want a command based software(i want it with gui cause its easier to work with).

I use keepvid too very fast and easy.this trick is nice to know but keepvid is just easier thanks for the info though

Anyone knows of a handy/small video recorder for wow with output format options? preferably free. i have tried fraps but doesnt have format options so hal-size option is very low quality and full-size makes the file size so big and i dotn wanna go through the convertion process. so any ideas?

ok i trieed Norton systemwork once more and got windows boot up.installed HDTUNE and scanned for errors.none found.then installed EVEREST and monitores the temps but nothing suspecious though in normal activity not overloading. and memtest keeps shutting down.so any ideas?

ok i got the memtest latest version ISO file and burned it inot a cd and boot up with it.i tried few times but everytime in the middle of scan it says no error found while the process bar is still working and after some minutes computer shut down.now i dont think that memtest shutd down the computer cause its idle or something.so this shut down means something? or its the memtest configuration for after process completion(while i havnt seen the results yet?)?

ok my brothers computer with xp pro sp2 keeps getting system files corrupted every few weeks so i use norton bootable dvd hdd doctor to repair it.but how can i diagnose the main problem for this? its an LG LAPTOP.

ok i installed the fedoracore 7 with grub bootloader but after complete setup and restart it loads to windows without any bootloader shows up.so i tried loading the dvd and try to install the grub bootloader again and i get the message that NO KERNEL PACKAGES found or installed.something like that and then it restarts.yet i guess the os is installed and the only problem is the bootloader.anyway i can fix it?

im new to the wireless networkings and i have a funny problem.my wireless adapter cant connect to my accesspoint.(AccessPoint: D-Link DWL-2100AP,Adapter: D-Link DWL-G122) it freezes in the "waite while windows connects to the "xxx" network" process for minutes and it wont connect.the funny thing is that its not always like this,sometimes it works fine but not always. i have set my AP to "Super-G with dynamic turbo"(108Mbps).i even tried AUTO CHANNEL scanning but no luck. how can i indicate whats my problem?

I just bought a D-Link wireless access point and a D-Link wireless adapter with both 802.11G 108mbps bandwidth capable.access point is set to auto negotiate between 802.11G(108 mbps) and 802.11B(54mbps) but my network adapter negotiates 54mbps speed.how can i fix it so the speed increases to 108mbps?

i guess the problem is with the DEFAULT ROUTE in your routing table.look at THIS LINK ,learn the commands and try to change/add a DEFAULT route to the ip address of your nic. i dont have much experience with wireless networking,but this is what google says:

do you have access to the ftp server? if you do whether its a windows or unix there are options in the ftp service interface that can be set to allow/deny access to specific folders.

i really dont understand what is your problem. you get kicked off the internet? you enable/disable network?
