Also what Allocation Unit Size you should select (default or 4096 or a different number). What is the difference to make the other partitions primary or extended? Should I enable Compression option when formating? Default is the best option as u increase the allocation size results in less space u get to store date. Primary partition is the partition in which windows boot related files stored no matter in which drive u installed your OS. Boot files stored in Primary partition that is C drive also this partition is active partition and partitions created next to is called extended partition. Windows XP & Vista supports four Primary Partition Only thing that matter which partition is set active. Enabling Compression during formating is not recommended as this can save space but degrades file read write performance.

Other way to format partition during setup is to delete & create partition. Works fine but remember delete one partition at a time then create it u can delete all but the space got merged and you have to redifine space for each partition.

nothing goes I m personally using seagate 750GB perpendicular hard disk & the older one have vertical spinning head takes more time to read data . when something goes common we heard about them very less like sata & pata hdd.

I can guess it have something to deal with the 3.5 SP1 NET Framework I've installed, but do you know how it exactly works? Does it send any information on the network? Could I delete it? it does not send any information on the network. so it is better to keep it? Also i don,t get ASP.net icon in my vista installation. I m using vista sp2. i have the same problem but got fixed after installing windows vista. Other thing if it works fine for 2.5 month then it head may be damaged by either shock or similar region. try to heard some sound in hard disk. is it very noisy.

Dot net framework is vb dot framework library for many programs to work. Many programs run in dotnet environment. but to keep program small dotnet libraries not included in program. Installing dotnet framework required to run that program efficeintly. For ex. vlite,nlite etc. need dotnet 2.0 to work.

Remove all components through nlite. Then the size of iso is about 90 mb. Then use USB multiboot 10 to make usb bootable
