  1. just take the dll file in_mp3.dll and add it to your cd.. it is the only file modified
  2. @dirtwarrior, for Nero 6 check here: http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showtopic=44603 But you can easily switch to Ner0 7, check here: http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showtopic=59483 (around page 17 or at the end of the topic there are (new) links to the videoguide
  3. OK I'll gather those files btw Zenlord selected "keep compatibility.." in Nlite but is this needed?
  4. Ohh I am sorry I thought you meant the blue luna color! because I don't like that in Office and in Nero and it is gone if I select a different theme... I guess this is just the new type of gui...
  5. Well thats very easy, just don't use the standard Blue Windows XP skin! Office 2003 and nero7 just adapt on the skin you choose for WinXP. So right-click on your Desktop > select Properties, the Window that opens will be on the THEMES tab, now select a different skin. I would recommend you to search for NBLUE skin, people who dont appreciate changes (like my parents) will love it, it looks great but is still in the WinXP style. otherwise look for Vista or Inspirat or MaxUnleashed skins Still have not figured out how to get Coverdesigner working! Does anyone have it working? Could you PLEASE post wich files you have in the coverdesigner folder? I am getting this error: Cannot load imaging subsystem blabla I click OK, same error appears, again OK, now error it cannot find blabla.dat, but this .dat file IS present in the folder..
  6. it is not a Winamp problem nor a problem of this MSI so I don't understand why people complain about it. just search google for the file and add it to your UWCD ! Or create a new CD with nlite... that fixed it for me a very long time ago.
  7. this topic could be closed after the #3rd post
  8. Hey Corone! I would like to advise you to create a small website... it would be great for spreading this superb package! I think it is really neccessary... I also have a few questions... not using your pack (yet) I use MediaPlayerClassic. I understand the quality of ffdshow and I would like it if it could handle everything.. But, I have been able to play everything I want with just ffdshow quicktime&Real and wm10lite from tituo2k. I DO install flac decoder seperately, don't use AC3Filter because FFDshow can do the work (and in your first post you also recomend this.) For playing mpeg2 I have been using ffdshow, at least that's what I thought.. seems I have been using Cyberlink dvd decoder for a long time because I once read this is the best software decoder for mpeg2. Can you verify this? But Cyberlink is not free... I guess if I don't have a Cyberlink player cd somewhere it is illegal to use. So for FLAC, dvdplayback and ogg playback I do have to install something seperate. I actually don't now about AAC or the MP3 vbr playtime bug because I use Winamp mostly for this.. But in this case your pack would be handy so that everything is already configured like it is suppose to (BTW I assume I do not need to configure ANYTHING? then it wouldn't be really 'silent'.) Ape, MOD, MPC, OFR (Optimfrog): I don't use these audiotypes and I never even found one when downloading... so for these things I don't need the pack. But I've just downloaded it and it seems to be just a piece of cake to remove these from the pack, just delete the corresponding folders & remove the lines in the install.bat file Now the following: I don't see a reason for the following: -Gabest CDDA Source Filter 1.0.0.1 (25112005) Filter for playback of Audio CDs --> MPC plays them perfectly (however I use Winamp to play 99% of my music) -Gabest CDXA Source Filter 1.0.0.1 (25112005) Filter for playback of SVCDs and XCDs --> For as far as I know MPC can play them just fine (ofcourse with ffdshow and a mpeg2 decoder) -Gabest VobSub Filter 2.37 (25112005) Adds subtitles to a video stream (Alt+S for VobSub options in Zoom Player) --> FFDshow can handle subtitles just fine! (and actually MPC also has good subs support, independent of ffdshow but I use ffdshow, just 1 checkbox ) Q:DCoder also has a Monkey Audio Source Filter, why RadLight? A:Actually it doesn't matter which one you choose, both of them work fine. ---> I thought the whole idea is not to install things you don't need, not to install 2 things if one of them can do the job, why is RadLight APE Source Filter included if Dcoder can do this also? Also I have a suggestion, instead of having a folder called DSFP in Program Files, wouldn't it be better if you call the folder DirectShow Filterpack? Then if one scrolls through the Explorer he won't ask himself "huh what's that strange foldername?" Or perhaps (Directshow) Audio & Video (Decoders) or whatever that makes clear what it does I hope you have some time to create a site... I have created a very easy to use installer for who wants to backup his dvdmovies (copy them)... but it is not really popular since it is hosted on Dutch forum (gathering.tweakers.net). Now I've also decided to create a site... since I have discovered a very easy to use app (Nvu.com) and nice webhost (free-webster.com).
  9. @Titou2k how do I create a Dutch (NL) localized add-on for TTPack? And why do you use an old version of ffdshow? since march 2005 there has been lots of development..
  10. I have repacked the 7z at home... with not only the videoguide but also the part of the guide of key2time that is neccassary and most important tips and credits (to key2time, tempuser and smashly) in a .txt file... I just wanted to have all the important info in one place I didn't upload yet... I thought I could find a fix for the Coverdesigner first.. will upload later today.
  11. Yes you are looking for HIDE.EXE (wich will hide the batch window AND what is started by the cmd file, usefull for silent installers) or Batchrunner.exe (? don't know for sure if this is the filename, it will hide batchfile/cmdfile but not what is started by the file like Diskeeper. I'm sorry don't have them on this pc... if I can find your topic tomorrow I will post them. EDIT: I hate the outline view of this board! didn't see the previous posts.. CMDOW.EXE will not do the trick, you will see a black dos window flashing.. and Seapagan posted link to Batchrunner already
  12. OK I followed the VideoGuides, also removed NeroCheck and NeroSharedMediaComponents (this is about the Common Files\Ahead\DSFilter folder wich is ~10 MB and is completely useless unless you do not have any codec installed. Also removed all .chm help file since they do not contain any Help, just a link to the website. I kept Nero Tools, Nero Coverdesigner and used what Smashly said if you want to keep Nero Express working. Installer works perfectly! Problem: I can not start Coverdesigner! Not from Nero Express but also not if I just run it from its folder! It seems a little bit like the problem there was with the first Nero 6 shrinkguides.... then also Coverdesigner failed to start. Any solution? I really want to finish this, Nero has cost me lots of time!
  13. That is actually not that suprising at all. The video was recorded without compression at all. If it would be recorded in say mpeg2, and one would 7zip afterwards, the filesize wouldn't change since it is already compressed. Recording in mpeg4 might even result in a smaller filesize.
  14. Hey, your downloadlink doesn't work! it says bandwith exceeded.. I would like to use this method instead, it seems better! But without the video... I did download the 2nd video, adding shortcuts.. could you provide a new link for the 1st video? does anybody have the video?
  15. the BASE has to do quite some work to integrate, it is impossible to integrate with Nlite, Nlite would need to have a completely new section I believe. It is not just better to do it after Nlite, it is a rule!
  16. Djees isn't the driverpack like twice as big now? it was in the news 6 months ago ATi would do this... no more CP.... only bloated CCC BTW I install .Net Framework at T12, because RunOnceEx is started directly after cmdlines.txt (this is faster and looks better). the control panels are installed after the restart, when most peoples RunOnceEx is started, I have a second (very very tiny) RunOnceEx that installs control panel and some codecs
  17. Does it need to have options? Why not use a .cmd file, executed by HIDE.exe? no one will see a black window flashing
  18. Hey, your downloadlink doesn't work! it says bandwith exceeded.. I would like to use this method instead, it seems better! But without the video... I did download the 2nd video, adding shortcuts.. could you provide a new link for the 1st video?
  19. What is the "Nero Fast CD-DVD Burning Plug-in" for? What would I be missing if I remove this? EDIT: (@Keytotime or anyone who knows) I am now creating my own MST, for the Dutch (NL) version. I want basic(& tools)+Coverdesigner only. I could use a little help, in the SETUP DESIGN, I see the first item is NeroSuiteInstallerDD1EB5BC. Is it correct that I should NOT remove this? I believe it is necassary for the installation but I am not quite sure because the second item is NeroProductSetup! Please help! AND another question. At Setup Design> NeroBurningRom, I believe the following can also be deleted: SharedMultimediaComponents. U don't need them if you have your codecs installed correctly! Actually they can even interfere with your own codecpacks.. This applies to the folder DSFilter (wich is located at Program Files\Common Files\.....\DSfilter). I always delete this folder... it is NOT the Audioplugins! they are in a different folder... thats why it is safe to remove. But perhaps someone else can confirm SharedMultimediaComponents can be deleted? EDIT2: @KEYTOTIME Where can I find this "direct editor"? Found! But, there are A LOT of references to NeroMediaLibrary. Or should it only match the whole word only? And, if I go to Build> Test ....mst, I get the error: "..should be started with SetupX.exe! So I am not sure if it will work!
  20. Aaah there has been an update! I was worried if I had to use the Alternative packs again... they are too big for my cd.. I see TTPack has been renewed.. I hope the ffdshow this one contains is better, hope it is now configurable trough MPC. Going to use it soon.
  21. DVDfab decrypter can now be used to decrypt movies to your harddisk. DVDdecrypter is no longer being developed... a few movies like Madagascar and others you will need DVDfab decrypter for. It cannot create images or burn... but it has the main feature and thats why it is considered to be the new dvddecrypter.

    XPize 4.1 MCE

Hi Xpero! I found a way to put XPize Settings in the Control Panel, even in the right Category! See the tweak below, perhaps an idea to add it to the installer. ;Show Xpize at Control Panel [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{D14ED2E1-C75B-443c-BD7C-FC03B2F08C21}] @="XPize Appearance desktop icons" "InfoTip"="Change the way Icons are viewed on the Desktop!" "{305CA226-D286-468e-B848-2B2E8E697B74} 2"=dword:00000001 [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{D14ED2E1-C75B-443c-BD7C-FC03B2F08C21}\DefaultIcon] @="%SystemRoot%\\System32\\shell32.dll,161" [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{D14ED2E1-C75B-443c-BD7C-FC03B2F08C21}\Shell\Open\command] @="C:\\Windows\\Resources\\xpizesettings.exe" [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{D14ED2E1-C75B-443c-BD7C-FC03B2F08C21}\ShellFolder] "Attributes"=dword:00000030 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\ControlPanel\NameSpace\{D14ED2E1-C75B-443c-BD7C-FC03B2F08C21}] @="XPize Appearance desktop icons" The dword value adds it to the right category. I gave it a different name and icon in this tweak so that even my mom can recognize what it could do just by looking at the name of the item. It looks really nice in the Category view of the Control Panel. But ofcourse you can use it the way you like it!
  23. Thanks! But how is TweakUI added to Control Panel without the use of any .cpl file!? it is just a (very popular) regtweak that adds it to control panel.. I used this regtweak to create my own (change the .exe, the discription and change "{D14ED2E1-C75B-443c-BD7C-FC03B2F08C17}" into "{D14ED2E1-C75B-443c-BD7C-FC03B2F08C18}"), but it didn't work because the path contained errors. ;Show TweakUI at Control Panel [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{D14ED2E1-C75B-443c-BD7C-FC03B2F08C17}] @="TweakUI XP" "InfoTip"="Starts the TweakUI program which, allows you to customize advanced options and Settings in Windows to your liking" [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{D14ED2E1-C75B-443c-BD7C-FC03B2F08C17}\DefaultIcon] @="%SystemRoot%\\\\System32\\\\tweakui.exe,0" [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{D14ED2E1-C75B-443c-BD7C-FC03B2F08C17}\Shell\Open\command] @="tweakui.exe" [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{D14ED2E1-C75B-443c-BD7C-FC03B2F08C17}\ShellFolder] "Attributes"=dword:00000030 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\ControlPanel\NameSpace\{D14ED2E1-C75B-443c-BD7C-FC03B2F08C17}] @="Tweak UI I used this regtweak to create my own (change the .exe, the discription and change "{D14ED2E1-C75B-443c-BD7C-FC03B2F08C17}" into a new one:"{D14ED2E1-C75B-443c-BD7C-FC03B2F08C18}"), but it didn't work because the path contained errors. This is the way to add any .exe to the Control Panel! ;Show Xpize at Control Panel [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{D14ED2E1-C75B-443c-BD7C-FC03B2F08C21}] @="XPize Appearance desktop icons" "InfoTip"="Change the way Icons are viewed on the Desktop!" Now I only would like to know how to add both of them to the Category "Appearance and Themes"! Who knows? EDIT: Found it myself, I updated the code above with a dword value for the first key. It works perfectly!
  24. I would like to add 2 items to Control Panel, I would also like to put them in the category for Visual settings. 1. Xpizesettings 2. startwihuvisual.cmd With the code below, both items appear in the classic Control Panel, but not in the Category! Also, if I double click one of them they wont start! I already tried reducing the number of '\' for the path, but it doesn't help. I already have this: [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{D14ED2E1-C75B-443c-BD7C-FC03B2F08C18}] @="Visuele extra's aanpassen" "InfoTip"="Kies een passend loginscherm & logoff/shutdown dialoog bij het thema, wijzig de visuele 'Windows Vista' extra's" [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{D14ED2E1-C75B-443c-BD7C-FC03B2F08C18}\DefaultIcon] @= [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{D14ED2E1-C75B-443c-BD7C-FC03B2F08C18}\Shell] [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{D14ED2E1-C75B-443c-BD7C-FC03B2F08C18}\Shell\Open] [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{D14ED2E1-C75B-443c-BD7C-FC03B2F08C18}\Shell\Open\command] @="%SystemRoot%\\\\Resources\\\\wihuvisual\\\\startwihuvisual.cmd" [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{D14ED2E1-C75B-443c-BD7C-FC03B2F08C18}\ShellFolder] "Attributes"=dword:00000020 [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{D14ED2E1-C75B-443c-BD7C-FC03B2F08C19}] @="XPize Settings" "InfoTip"="wijzig verschillende bureaublad instellingen!"
