Introduction So here we go, the D-Day has come. Long time have passed since I start working on this and the project isn't finished yet but I decided to release it because on a month or so the new Messenger7 will be out. I think it has the MSFN look and I'm specially proud of the IPB smileys. Preview Click over some areas of the previews to access exclusive content... DOWNLOAD - 2,61 MB (2.738.659 bytes) (This will only work over MSN Messenger version 6.2.0137) F.A.Q Q - You suck, will you continue working on it? A - Yes, I suck and I'll contnue working on Messenger 7. Most of the Photoshop work is finished and I only need to tweak font colors that needs a LOT of work on the UIFILE texts. Q - I think I can help modifying part of the GUI or UIFILE text. Can I send you my work? A - Of course, any help you can give will be greatly appreciated. Q - This mod is not Polygamy-patched and ADs are still here. A - It isn't. I wanted to remain as legal as possible. The user can patch it by his own responsability. Polygamy Patch aka MultiMSN - Remove ADs using Messenger Plus! Polygamy and AD-Remover Q - I'm a fan of unattended! MSFN is unattended! A - If you want to silent install this skin, simply use "/QB" switch with the original .msi setup. Then use "/S" switch with MSFN_MSNMSGR.exe. This way: REG ADD %KEY%\010 /VE /D "MSN Messenger 6.2.0137" /f REG ADD %KEY%\010 /V 1 /D "path\MsnMsgs.msi /qn" /f REG ADD %KEY%\010 /V 2 /D "path\MSFN_MSNMSGR.exe /S" /f Q - You rule man, I need to contribute with you. I HAVE to send you all of my money, how can I do it? A - Well you can't at this moment, but you can contribute to MSFN SiMoNsAyS (me) and the Microsoft Software Forum Network won't take any responsability if you damage your system while using this skin. Please, use original software and try to remain as legal as possible. Good Luck!

Customizing WinRAR SFX for customized installers
SiMoNsAyS replied to totoymola's topic in Unattended Windows 2000/XP/2003
@`Felix`, .sfx file are upx compressed. you'll need the upx tool to expand them, then reshack and compress again. @goboeloscuro, nice to see some1 from spain. we aren't many -
lol, sexy? it is a ximian! don't tell me "it is ugly" (j/k) ... so you moved to firefox ... nice!

@eleventhcmd, i suppose the "-silent" switch is for the .exe file, .msi uses "/qb" or "/qn". btw, welcome to the forum

Symantec AntiVirus Corporate Edition 9.0.3.1000
SiMoNsAyS replied to contender's topic in Application Installs
yes, correct. that is because the setup you downloaded is compressed. yes, the left bitmap of the updated live-update (lol), shows a yellow marble with a black anthem. this is the easy visual proof, different from the older one. -

i see, i think what you are doing is sending the admin setup command throught the .exe file that is ok so you now got your folder full of stuff and you've replaced virus definitions. now you just need to search for lusetup.exe and replace it with the updated one you downloaded. 1chaoticadult, told me to look on "pathtoadminpoint\program files\symantec antivirus". now you just need to launch the installation like "%systemdrive%\Install\Applications\SAV\Symantec AntiVirus.msi" /QBthat is enough for me. no need of RUNLIVEUPDATE=0 REBOOT=ReallySuppress switches. finally you can re-pack everything to save space but that is just a suggestion. -
i'm not planing to reply anymore, it is really frustrating explain 1 thing another and another time. all the info you need has been covered on this thread or on the unattended msfn guide. why are you doing that? how can you execute it? runonce.cmd needs to be placed on the $oem$\ folder and need to be called from cmdlines.txt, if not, how it is going to be executed?using runonce ****! you need to know those basic things. check the device manager, driver properties of the the display adapter (don't ask me how to reach device manager). folders are properly located, you say drivers were installed successful, LEARN how to work with runonce and add the lines i pointed. ok this is enough, I've never said SEARCH because all what you need is covered on this thread or the official guide (btw, have you read it?). i'm not going to be more specific because i CAN'T be more specific. good luck on your hard task.

SiMoNsAyS replied to contender's topic in Application Installs
@a06lp, the admin install point doesn't work like that download and extract the contents of the installation. locate the .msi installer file... msiexec.exe /a "path\file.msi"after created the admin setup, replace lusetup.exe and replace virus definitions. then repack everything and launch the new setup using /qn or /qb switches -

i would pick mostly the same than Astalavista but... 775 socket, Asus always 8 USB (be sure 2.0) - 2 Firewire Ports would be enough (2) Maxtor SATA 160 GB (be sure of raid) PCI Express 128/256MB Video Card - ATI always for me 1 GB DDR2 memory ( i think he wants to mean Geil. others can be Corsair or Kingston HyperX ) 16 Dual Layer DVD Writer ( NEC is really cheap and works great for me ) CD Writer not necessary 450 Watt Power Supply ( levicom is a good brand, but any other with quiet technology would be great ) Audigy 2 Platinum or similar sound card that's all i think -
nlite doesn't support longhorn... yet

i think you don't have any idea on what you're doing you're problem is not with video drivers because they're already installed. let start by points: 1.- ;The comment below contains SFX script commands Path=%SYSTEMDRIVE%\ Silent=1 Overwrite=1as the first line says the comment contains RAR SFX script commands. you must know how to create RAR-SFX, there are a LOT of posts talking about it and the piece of code i pasted is the comment you need to add to the archive. i won't get far on this. hell no! 2.- that is ONLY if you're using the rar'ed compressed file, if not why add it?3.- lol, it's the SFX archive, if you didn't create it... how can you find it??you must have a few knowledges until getting on this, i tried to explain it as easy as i could but you need to know a bit about how the process goes. the final solution... look the estructure, ATI\ -CP\ -Drivers\ place the ATI folder on $OEM$\$1\ and simply add this code to runonce IF EXIST %SYSTEMROOT%\system32\atiddc.dll REG ADD %KEY%\055 /VE /D "Catalyst Control Panel" /f IF EXIST %SYSTEMROOT%\system32\atiddc.dll REG ADD %KEY%\055 /V 1 /D "%SYSTEMDRIVE%\ATI\CP\Setup.exe /K" /f that's all
