  1. If it is a software problem, you could probably check by turning on your computer and immediately hitting Ctrl+Alt+Del during POST. If the computer reboots after the sequence, then it's definitely a problem with Windows, albeit an uncommon one.
  2. Mostly because of you!
  3. Haha, you're correct. I will be trying this out when I have a chance. Busy with work and school at the moment.
  4. Ah, I was under the impression that you did not have to create the VPN connection ahead of time. What I'd like to do is have a batch file run that connects to a VPN using specific credentials and then another batch file that disconnects it. The catch is that the VPN connection should not have to be setup ahead of time.
  5. Hey fairyprincess, I'm actually looking into doing this myself but can't seem to get a connection with rasdial. Are there any other steps you took in getting it to work?
  6. FreeProxy: http://www.handcraftedsoftware.org/ Although, you might need a corporate license (not 100% sure). [ Topic moved. ]
  7. If you don't mind me asking, what was taking up the space?
  8. I don't know if this might be of any help, but the university I go to up here in Canada (University of Waterloo) only has wireless access available outside of the residence areas.
  9. Can you boot into Safe Mode?
  10. Sounds kind of fishy, especially with a .info domain. You'd for sure find a few copies on eBay or Amazon (hopefully new).
  11. Pure Debian. Never installed a GUI on it. Everything was shell-based. That lasted quite a while.
  12. I've seen a few stores still carrying XP, so if you're lucky, you might just find a few copies covered in dust at a local store.
  13. Please post in the correct forum. [ Moved. ]
  14. It is most likely a recovery partition for your computer. If you've got recovery CDs/DVDs that came with it, chances are it'd be safe to go ahead and format it, but MAKE SURE BEFORE YOU DO IT! If it didn't come with recovery disks, you could probably burn a few by booting into the partition (there should be an option when booting up your computer).
  15. By all means, go ahead.
  16. I've got a bunch of domains with no content as of yet. Just a personal site.
  17. Does it list any hard drives at all? The only legal way of acquiring a Windows XP disc would be to buy one.
  18. N1K, have you considered VPS hosting like I mentioned above?
  19. Yeah, the cases on MP3car.com seem kind of "blah"... Mini-ITX.com = $$$$.
  20. Hey guys, Just got myself an Intel D201GLY2 mini-ITX motherboard that I'm going to be using as a small server. I've been looking around for cases, but just haven't come across something good looking and that is cheap? I'm willing to spend around $60 + shipping, but the item has to be available from a Canadian store. Any suggestions?
  21. I'm curious... What have your monthly stats been like? CPU load, number of members, bandwidth usage, etc.? Have you looked into VPS (Virtual Private Server) hosting instead of a dedicated one?
  22. Posts in the Funny Farm do not increase your post count. From what I've noticed, that's where you have posted.
  23. I honestly do not see any reason for making this thread active again. [ Closed. ]
  24. Search for porn, cracks, warez, etc. on Google and I'm sure you'll find tons of malware.
