  1. Hey fairyprincess, I'm actually looking into doing this myself but can't seem to get a connection with rasdial. Are there any other steps you took in getting it to work?
  2. FreeProxy: http://www.handcraftedsoftware.org/ Although, you might need a corporate license (not 100% sure). [ Topic moved. ]
  3. If you don't mind me asking, what was taking up the space?
  4. I don't know if this might be of any help, but the university I go to up here in Canada (University of Waterloo) only has wireless access available outside of the residence areas.

Can you boot into Safe Mode?
  6. Sounds kind of fishy, especially with a .info domain. You'd for sure find a few copies on eBay or Amazon (hopefully new).
  7. Pure Debian. Never installed a GUI on it. Everything was shell-based. That lasted quite a while.
  8. I've seen a few stores still carrying XP, so if you're lucky, you might just find a few copies covered in dust at a local store.
  9. Please post in the correct forum. [ Moved. ]
  10. It is most likely a recovery partition for your computer. If you've got recovery CDs/DVDs that came with it, chances are it'd be safe to go ahead and format it, but MAKE SURE BEFORE YOU DO IT! If it didn't come with recovery disks, you could probably burn a few by booting into the partition (there should be an option when booting up your computer).
  11. By all means, go ahead.
  12. I've got a bunch of domains with no content as of yet. Just a personal site.
  13. Does it list any hard drives at all? The only legal way of acquiring a Windows XP disc would be to buy one.
  14. N1K, have you considered VPS hosting like I mentioned above?
  15. Yeah, the cases on MP3car.com seem kind of "blah"... Mini-ITX.com = $$$$.
  16. Hey guys, Just got myself an Intel D201GLY2 mini-ITX motherboard that I'm going to be using as a small server. I've been looking around for cases, but just haven't come across something good looking and that is cheap? I'm willing to spend around $60 + shipping, but the item has to be available from a Canadian store. Any suggestions?
  17. I'm curious... What have your monthly stats been like? CPU load, number of members, bandwidth usage, etc.? Have you looked into VPS (Virtual Private Server) hosting instead of a dedicated one?
  18. Posts in the Funny Farm do not increase your post count. From what I've noticed, that's where you have posted.
  19. I honestly do not see any reason for making this thread active again. [ Closed. ]
  20. Search for porn, cracks, warez, etc. on Google and I'm sure you'll find tons of malware.
  21. I've still got 3 computers running Rosetta.
  22. Just curious, but are you on a gigabit connection? I've noticed that on a few machines I've worked with, it would take a while for them to get an IP after plugging them into a gigabit switch/router.
  23. It's fine. Original discs cannot be altered.
  24. Why stop at saying "I wish"? Why not make it an "I will try" and then work your way towards making that attempt a reality. You'll end up getting a lot farther than by simply saying "I wish I could do X". 1. It's almost like $50k/year (or at least it was in 2007). 2. You need to be pretty well-rounded. 3. I am pretty well-rounded, "tried" to get in for this year and received a nice rejection letter/e-mail saying there were only 1000 spots for 12000 applicants! You can always come up to Canada to go to UBC (where Zxian's attending) or the University of Waterloo (where I'm attending). In any case................. CONGRATS!
