  1. paste the log in here http://hijackthis.de/ remove the nasties!
  2. use the ryanvm hotfix pack instead of manually adding all hotfixes, much cleaner
  3. basic guide.. copy your xpcd to c:\xpcd install nlite, point it at the c:\xpcd folder and begin xplite is for reducing windows AFTER install, nlite is for doing it before install
  4. what sets them apart is the Transformation packs actually replace files instead of patching them replacing files is dangerous and can easily trash your machine! it also reverts any updated files you may have to a different version (so leaving security holes all over the place!) Aurora Pack is the only Vista'izing pack i'd recommend to anyone
  5. use ryanvm's hotfix pack (you integrate it with nlite) http://www.majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=5085 (download here) http://www.ryanvm.net/msfn/updatepack.html (info here)
  6. wow, looking great i'm glad you haven't patched resources so they now say "windows vista" i find it silly when people 'pretend' their os isn't the one they're using
  7. press F9 in 7ip file manager and you get the 2x panels then, if you extract to a location in the file manager (instead of explorer) it'll do it without copying to temp first, i think winrar works this way too
  8. You seriously deserve a statue. Thank you very much for that solution, I had this problem for months. Eh, not yet. It still isn't working for me. When I replug the mouse and keyboard after the unattended cd is finished and reboot, I can't use the mouse and keyboard at the welcome screen. make a totally new cd, with a clean source, and dont select CAT file removal
  9. its in xable's sig used it loads of times tho, really appreciate it!
  10. what media are you burning onto? try different media or a different dvd/cd drive boots fine on my nforce2's!
  11. what are the first boot devices in the bios on those computers?
  12. there's your problem try the neowin uxtheme.dll patcher
  13. yeah it it's dual core then it'll use the other one
  14. do nlite again and select the remote desktop compatibility mode
  15. attatch your last session ini to the forum
  16. might be easiest to create a virtual machine, install xp on that (lite if you want it to go quicker -but dont remove the filter ) then run vlite in there
  17. is the iso not already bootable? try the burn image option in nero or use imgburn
  18. anoymous_person is right, nlite works with 2003 and 2003 64
  19. pretty sure without that codec pack, not much plays in 64bit media centre
  20. the cause of your problem is the CAT file removal during ryanvm hotfix insertion, don't tick the 'remove cat files' option
