  1. Only used TeraCopy in the past myself. Currently don't have it installed. Same problems as the ones mentioned earlier in the thread. But doubtful is these kinds of software actually work without causing any problems at one moment. Curious about other people's opinions regarding "what am best" so that I can give that software a try again.
  2. The easiest way is to use "fontinst", which can be found via this forum. fontinst.exe /F fontinst.inf
  3. It does here though on a clean install.
  4. For some reason, the copied SCR-files were corrupted. Re-copied them from my Vista installation, patched them using Alky For Applications 1.0 and they all work fine now.
  5. I recently installed Alky For Applications 1.0 so that I can make my Windows Vista Screensavers usable with Windows XP... at least, that's what I thought Alky For Applications comes with a nice manual... Actually, it's not worth the name manual as it doesn't explain anything?! I installed Alky For Applications on Windows XP, including all prerequisites... and then what?! I'm completely puzzled. I have my Windows Vista installation disc lying around, I already copied several SCR-files from a Windows Vista machine, but I wouldn't have a clue what to do/what I do wrong. Since the documentation is so poor and because I can't find anything on the internet regarding this, the only thing I could do really was simply right-click on one of the SCR-files and choose to patch them with Alky For Applications... but after that I've done this, the Windows Vista Screensavers don't work on Windows XP?! Getting very annoyed with this; need help! Can someone give a tutorial?
  6. Did you uncomment the command as suggested in the code which you posted yourself? I have the impression that you don't know enough about batch to make scripts of this complexity, so I would suggest making simple scripts first, instead of trying things the hard way straight from the start.
  7. If you frequently update software in your installation source, in my humble opinion, you can better use HFSLIP than nLite.
  8. WinRAR is my mistake, sorry, doing this by heart. You should use Universal Extracter. You can find it here on the forum.
  9. You went through too much trouble. You could simply extract the file using WinRAR for example, leaving you with an MSI-file, which you can install silently like any other MSI-file. You could even package it into a 1-file silent installer if you want then.
  10. Since it's for testing purposes, it doesn't matter which application you choose, but the question still arises why you would want to create a script for installing CCleaner, which you can simply install silently by supplying the right parameters? Just wondering. I don't know much about making addons since I make my own silent installers for HFSLIP, but you'll need to compile the script for starters. You'll have to make an ENTRIES.INI-file to install your addon. See here for an example. Also, download some of the pre-made addons and see how those are built, that should help you enough I believe to be able to make your own addon. I don't believe that you have to, but see the link I posted above, download one of the pre-build addons and have a look. I believe you simply have to add all the files to one folder and use the before mentioned INI-file to install your addon.
  11. You can simply not make it install in the first place, instead of removing it later on during the whole setup process. You'll need to add some lines to your WINNT.SIF for this; see the Unattended Guide.
  12. What happens if you open the file directly from your system32 folder? Or when you right-click it and choose to run the file as Administrator?
  13. ricktendo64, how do I add your code to a REG-file? It's not the normal syntax?

You give too little information I'm afraid. How did you create your unattended installation? What is included in it? What tweaks, what patches?
  15. If I were you, I would reinstall.
  16. Thanks for all the tips and hints Will give it all a try soon hopefully.
  17. I'm not quite sure what you're on about. Apperantly you would like an unattended installation, but which will still prompt the user for a username, password, et cetera, as normal during the end of the setup process. You could simply achieve this with your WINNT.SIF file. See the Unattended Guide on this web site.
  18. You could write a batch file which will start the installation by supplying parameters to your WINNT.EXE file which lets you specify the source of the installation files, unattended file, et cetera. You could import REG-files via SVCPACK.INI to disable certain services. This should get you more than started. See the Unattended Guide on this web site for some more hints and tips.
  19. Left handed mouse settings? Virus?
  20. You mean the latest cummulative update for IE7? I had that in my HF folder, but RunOnceEx didn't run. What is the latest update, so that I can check?
  21. Corporate licenses do not need to be verified online, so I assume you didn't use either the correct installation medium or the correct license key.
  22. Sounds like there is simply a key stuck on your keyboard. Unplug it, hit all keys and try again.
  23. Thank you very much. Will see if it works soon, maybe this evening. One question though, how do you make these files? I like to make everything myself, hence the question
  24. See my reply earlier and especially what I wrote about your router. Update to the latest firmware and check the settings regarding DHCP and lease times of IP-addresses.
