  1. Now is great Downloaded it and will give it a try soon! Does it also prevent RunOnceEx from breaking due to integrating the new IE7?

  3. That is good news. I hope that Tomcat76 releases a new version of HFSLIP soon which supports this new IE7 release.
  4. How did you create this Bernat and how can I edit it and/or create this myself?

  6. Indeed. Scan your hard disk with various anti-virus scanners. I would suggest using a free online anti-virus check besides only using your normal scanner. Make sure that your anti-virus software is update before scanning. Download Spybot - Search & Destroy and Lavasoft Ad-Aware. Update both and run full systems scans. Before doing all this, clean up your hard disk and delete all temporary files stored on your computer.
  7. During my unattended Windows XP Professional setup, LightScribe Direct Disc Labeling is installed silently. My custom silent installer deletes all created shortcuts in the Start Menu and imports the following REG-file to configure the software and to add an icon for the "LightScribe Control Panel" to the Control Panel. Everything works fine, except adding the icon to the Control Panel... well, actually, that works fine too, but when clicking the newly created icon I get an error message: "Access denied". How do I properly add a new icon to the Control Panel; what is wrong with the following: Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 ; DISABLE NOTIFICATION MESSAGES [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\LightScribe\LightScribe Control Panel] "DisplayBalloons"=dword:00000000 ; DISABLE LIGHTSCRIBE CONTROL PANEL TO START AUTOMATICALLY [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\LightScribe\LightScribe Control Panel] "RunAtLogin"=dword:00000000 ; ADD LIGHTSCRIBE TO CONTROL PANEL [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{5197646C-00EA-4307-A067-61319EBBE499}] @="LightScribe" "InfoTip"="LightScribe Direct Disc Labeling" [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{5197646C-00EA-4307-A067-61319EBBE499}\DefaultIcon] @="%CommonProgramFiles%\\LightScribe\\LightScribeControlPanel.exe" [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{5197646C-00EA-4307-A067-61319EBBE499}\Shell] [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{5197646C-00EA-4307-A067-61319EBBE499}\Shell\Open] [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{5197646C-00EA-4307-A067-61319EBBE499}\Shell\Open\Command] @="%CommonProgramFiles%\\LightScribe\\LightScribeControlPanel.exe" [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{5197646C-00EA-4307-A067-61319EBBE499}\ShellFolder] "Attributes"=dword:00000030 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\ControlPanel\NameSpace\{5197646C-00EA-4307-A067-61319EBBE499}] @="LightScribe"
  8. Some things to do to better pin point the problem. You state that you have the latest drivers installed, have you read the change log for these to see if it is a known issue? Make sure your Windows XP installation is fully up-to-date. Do you have an up-to-date anti-virus and anti-spyware solution running? If so, perform a full system scan. If not, download one, update the software and perform a full system scan. Reboot the machine and once up and running again close all applications and kill all processes which are not needed. See if your network connection stays up this time. Check your router configuration. Check your firmware change log to see if this is a known problem. Update your router to use the latest firmware. If you use custom firmware, switch to the latest official firmware so that you can exclude the router as being the problem. Make sure to read the latest change log of this firmware first though. Please reply to let us know if this changed anything or what the outcome was. Good luck!
  9. See his signature or simply click here
  10. Delete the file, or simply move it, download it again and run the script once more and see if that does the trick. Oh, and before retrying, also reboot your machine.
  11. I didn't mean to "sound" mean (can you sound mean when writing text? just wondering...), so sorry if I came across like that! I did include a smiley in my previous message, so I assumed it was clear that I didn't mean it in a bad way. The smiley winked, like in "take it with a grain of salt, I'm only pulling your leg a bit". Sorry again though!
  12. The question is posted in the "Unattended Windows 2000/XP/2003" section. Please note the word "Unattended".

  14. It's simply a batch script, you make it by heart Use Google for more information on batch scripting.
  15. Edit: I posted nonsense
  16. Your question isn't very clear as you don't state what software you have used to create your unattended installation. If it's a normal unattended installation, add the applications via RunOnceEx for example. If you used HFSLIP, you can place applications to be installed in the HF folder if I'm not mistaken (doing this by heart). Using nLite, you can add applications as well. Use silent installations, make your own packages or download some that others built.
  17. It does so the first time you run IE7. If you click on the "house" icon, it should direct you to about:blank. So what is your exact problem and question?
  18. No need to scream, we hear you. Why would you want this? You could simply right-click on a folder and choose to Explore? I don't understand why you would want this and why you would want to copy explorer.exe all over your hard disk; if it's in your path, which it is by default, you don't have any need to have it copied to anywhere.
  19. To repeat what has been said before, why would you want to use DELTREE which is not included in Windows XP, when you can simply use RD or RMDIR instead, which does the same?
  20. Search here.
  21. The answer is already given, read up.
  22. SP3 is not a final build, it might be the cause of your problem.

    ...

Has anyone managed to find a simple solution to get past the RunOnceEx problems? Been reading various topics, but haven't found a solution really.
  24. Too little information to work with here. I have never experienced any problems using nLite concerning burning discs.
  25. And this might help with Command & Conquer: Generals, although you will have to make some slight modifications probably.
