Hi Kelsenellenelvian, I removed the hotfixes and used the pack, and it fixed my problem, thank you. Hi John, I will attach it next time, sorry for the mess.

Some small update: I made an install CD with only a few hotfixes (only the one displayed there: http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showtopic=86450), and it installs fine. The problem probably comes from the additional hotfixes I have added. Any help would be appreciated!

Hi Newposter, As I mentionned earlier, Windows XP Pro SP2 from the original Microsoft CD installs just fine. Only the nLite CD I made brings me that error message.

Dear All, I get the following error message after the first stage of Windows XP Pro installation using a freshly burnt nlite CD: "a write operation was attempted to a volume after it was dismounted" then the screen goes blank and I have to restart everything again. However, I do not get any error and everything goes well if I use my old Windows XP Pro SP2 from Microsoft, even if my HDD are connected with SATA (ICH10R), and I do not believe I should integrate any SATA or chipset drivers (I tried anyway and I got the same error message). Dear All, I made an nLite installation and selected windows components (outlook express, messenger, msn etc.) for removal. The installation went fine, but not a single component I selected was removed. Is that normal? LAST_SESSION.INI

I have used nlite 1.4. I added IE 7. But I have tweaked too many settings to list them all here

Hello, I have created a winxp cd. It installs fine and everything is beautiful but, my (non-classic) start menu cannot display any icon of programmes in the start menu. It stays blank and I have to revert to the classic start menu. Do you have any idea how to get that functionnality back? What do you think has been modified? Many thanks,
