  1. For Battlefield 2, click here.
  2. Might not be the cause of your problem, but worth to give it a try: in what format/with which encoding do you save the SIF-file?
  3. Via cmdlines.txt and svcpack.inf. Click here.
  4. Do you use HFSLIP?
  5. I'm not fond of the recent Azureus version, but to reply to your question, install using -q.
  6. Attach last session
  7. If /S doesn't work, simply click here and here.
  8. So what was the problem?
  9. Sounds like issues with drivers.
  10. For integrating hotfixes and software I prefer HFSLIP. For applying tweaks to your installation source, you can still use nLite, but I prefer to do all tweaks via REG-files myself, to keep control over my whole unattended installation project.
  11. Nope, that's the one.
  12. PING 2.01 by Natan from this board is missing in the list. Something to compare is what extra functionality a product offers, such as resetting forgotten passwords. Another thing to compare is the speed of making an image, the size of the image, et cetera. Also the size of the software itself, if an installation is required, et cetera. Once making a comparisson, divide the list in paid software and freeware. Both catagories need to be compared together as well of course, but this will give a good overview in the end of the better paid software and a separate overview of the better freeware available.
  13. What does your package do exactly; where does it install, which shortcuts, Yahoo! Toolbar or not, et cetera?
  14. Thank you for your reply. I already use the K-Lite Mega Codec Pack and I don't want or see the need to add another codec package. I'll give it a try with QTLite 1.1.1 and I'll let you know the outcome.
  15. On the main repository it reads that you will need to have the QuickTime components installed for iTunes to work. Will installing QTLite 1.1.1 have the same effect?
  16. Why would you want to make a switchless installer, if you don't even know what it is? Creating an unattended installation disc does not require you to make any installers for other software, unless you want to include those in your whole installation process. May I suggest simply creating an unattended installation disc first, before looking into installing any other software unattendedly via silent, switchless installers? Once you have created an unattended installation disc which installs to your liking, you can always still add other software to your installation process. The tutorials posted on this forum, on the main web site and on RyanVM's forum are all very clear. Perhaps once you know how to create an unattended installation disc, these tutorials will be more clear to you.
  17. You need to do some research yourself. You can add a minus symbol in front of the string which you want to remove, or change the value of a key to a minus symbol which will remove the key. You can find out these things easily yourself by using Google.
  18. Creating an unattended, updated installation source might not be the solution for what you're trying to achieve. I don't know what your aim is, but perhaps simply making a Ghost image of an updated and configured installation is sufficient for your needs. The advantage of using an unattended installation over an image is that it will work on all systems, where as a restored image will not work on all systems. The question is, what do you want exactly?
  19. I will have much fun at the office tomorrow Aaaargh!
  20. Because HFSLIP does not create an image, it creates a new installer, a whole new setup, which unattendedly installs your hotfixes, et cetera. Your current installation folder does not contain the setup files, those can be found in your I386 folder on your installation medium.
  21. Also have a look at HFSLIP for integrating IE7, hotfixes, et cetera.
  22. May I suggest using HFSLIP instead? You can use nLite afterwards to apply some tweaks and settings still if you wish.
  23. Yes, it should and most of the time, if not always, it will indeed be replaced... but this process might take a few days, perhaps even a month, which might make it necessary for you to uninstall the faulty patch if for example it causes a problem with other software or an application. I have had to manually uninstall a patch only once though.
  24. Search and you will find WMP11 Integrater can slipstream WMP11 into your source.
  25. Drive G:\ is your installation source I assume? Seems like a package on your G-drive is trying to extract itself during setup, but not to the destination drive, but instead to your installation source. If this is a write protected medium, such as a CD-R or DVD-R, it won't work and the error message which you'll get will be simular to the one you currently have. If I were you I would go through all the packages which you added to your installation and see which one could be the problem. Seeing the 82600 bytes, I assume the problem lies with one of the larger packages.
