tarquel replied to Nilfred's topic in Application Installs
@Tomcat76: Thanks for the cleanup - it was 6am-ish in the morning so did miss out a few items and forgot to tidy it up a bit - ooops hehe I've copy/pasted your reg code over the top of the first part of my post so if ya want to trim your post - that'd be useful Definately remove the comment about who's computer we are installing it on pls - it was late Cheers Nath. -
7zip Adobe Acrobat Reader Version 7.0.3 25MB
tarquel replied to Nilfred's topic in Application Installs
Good News Slipstreaming 7.0.3 works perfectly too, with some additional registry entries after you have made the app using the script provided by nilfred in the first post of this topic. [hehe shame I'm not a mod or I'd update the first post for nilfred ] On step 3, after installing update 7.0.2, get the 7.0.3 update and install that also. The only other changes are the registry entries mentioned on the first post also. Here they are: EDIT: 28-08-05 2.16am - Edited some of the text of the reg tweak slightly - ver matters not 17-08-05 4.46pm - following code changed with Tomcat76's "tidyier" suggestions Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 ;--- Critically Needed Tweaks - Import the following tweaks BEFORE running AR7.0.x for the first time --- ; Following tweaks will prevent AR7 from thinking it requires the updates that have been slipstreamed ;Updates version in about box [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Adobe\Acrobat Reader\7.0\Installer] "VersionMin"=dword:00000003 ;Add updates to already updated list [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Adobe\Acrobat Reader\7.0\Installer\Updates] @="{AC76BA86-0000-7EC8-7489-000000000704}" "1"=dword:000002bd "2"="702" "3"="703" [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Adobe\Acrobat Reader\7.0\Installer\Updates\701] @="{AC76BA86-0000-7EC8-7489-000000000701}" "Feature"="RDR_Update" "VersionMax"=dword:00000007 "VersionMin"=dword:00000001 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Adobe\Acrobat Reader\7.0\Installer\Updates\702] @="{AC76BA86-0000-7EC8-7489-000000000703}" "1"="{4AE0D15C-17B8-4CB5-A1EC-FD33E8519B4E}" "2"="{DF43C8F8-CB59-40A2-8072-B8DCBE9B9DF0}" "3"="{DD400CAC-14AB-40A2-9EB5-C799620CD61C}" "Feature"="RDR_Update" "Suffix"=".701.bak" "VersionMax"=dword:00000007 "VersionMin"=dword:00000002 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Adobe\Acrobat Reader\7.0\Installer\Updates\702\Restore] [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Adobe\Acrobat Reader\7.0\Installer\Updates\703] @="{AC76BA86-0000-7EC8-7489-000000000704}" "1"="{20082671-27E4-45AE-B9B0-58C5C064C8BC}" "2"="{DF43C8F8-CB59-40A2-8072-B8DCBE9B9DF0}" "3"="{C4B939CE-61BA-447B-8E2A-E2572C62CDCD}" "Feature"="RDR_Update" "Suffix"=".702.bak" "VersionMax"=dword:00000007 "VersionMin"=dword:00000003 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Adobe\Acrobat Reader\7.0\Installer\Updates\703\Restore] ;--- Tweaks to alter Add-Remove info - thanks to Tomcat76 for this --- ;Changes the information hardcoded into the registry for Add-Remove info etc [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Installer\Products\68AB67CA7DA73301B7447A0000000000] "ProductName"="Adobe Reader 7.0.3 - English" "Version"=dword:07000003 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\Installer\Products\68AB67CA7DA73301B7447A0000000000] "ProductName"="Adobe Reader 7.0.3 - English" "Version"=dword:07000003 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Installer\UserData\S-1-5-18\Products\68AB67CA7DA73301B7447A0000000000\InstallProperties] "DisplayName"="Adobe Reader 7.0.3 - English" "DisplayVersion"="7.0.3" "Version"=dword:07000003 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\{AC76BA86-7AD7-1033-7B44-A70000000000}] "DisplayName"="Adobe Reader 7.0.3 - English" "DisplayVersion"="7.0.3" "Version"=dword:07000003 ;--- Optional Tweaks --- ;Disable some unneeded features [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Adobe\Acrobat Reader\7.0\FeatureLockdown] "bEFIPrintMe"=dword:00000000 "bShowAdsAllow"=dword:00000000 [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Adobe\Acrobat Reader\7.0\AVGeneral\cToolbars\cWebSearchView\cPositions\cInternal] "bHidden"=dword:00000001 [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Adobe\Acrobat Reader\7.0\Originals] "bDisplayedSplash"=dword:00000001 "bDisplayAboutDialog"=dword:00000000 ;Remove the EULA at first run [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Adobe\Acrobat Reader\7.0\AdobeViewer] "EULA"=dword:00000001 [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Adobe\Acrobat Reader\7.0\AdobeViewer] "EULA"=dword:00000001 Copy and paste the above to a txt file and save it as a .reg file which you can use to import the settings [sorry its a bit long to scroll - will remove it when Nilfred updates the main page] Remember that this is for the english language version - as Tomcat76 says - the key may vary from language to language. Please remember to read all the posts on the thread before asking questions on about this topic - i.e. so you can understand the process. I've tested it and it seems fine to me but bear in mind not to attempt it on a critical system (as per usual of course) yet. I have created a package of it and put it on my site [see sig] if anyone wants the Eng lang version ready made Regards, Nath. -
Just to see what happens, try the following link: http://update.microsoft.com/microsoftupdate/ and follow those steps if u havent already. Just a thought, Nath

Outlook Express not installed
tarquel replied to bish542002's topic in Unattended Windows 2000/XP/2003
Have you made sure that you have the following in your winnt.sif file: [Components] OEAccess = On and its not set to Off Also, make sure you arent removing it with something else when making the build for the iso/cd i.e. in nlite, etc. (if using nlite, you should ask in the appropriate board) Maybe the original XP CD that you are using is scratched and/or isn't being copied properly when copying it to the HD. Regards and hope it helps, N. -
Have you tried looking at Bâshrat the Sneaky's DriverPacks which can be discussed here: http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showforum=88 Some device drivers are tricky - not just with XPCREATE Hope that helps Nath.
-
Maybe I'm half-asleep here but what does this have to do with xpcreate? Please keep your posts relevent to the board you are in. Regards N.

Thanks for the heads-up Porn Loader. I downloaded it the other night and had a quick blast. Didnt have the sound very high or use headphones - didnt want to be unsocialable as peope were in the room hehe Really liked what I saw - real good use of sound and timing of events Much like the first Silent Hill games (never bought SH 3 and 4 as the monsters were too stupid to scare you lol) which were pants-fillingly good. One of the only games I'm looking forward to getting - along with COD2 Cheers Nath

Just to echo oldwolf, I'd say the same. That graphics chipset wont cut it I'm pretty sure. You could try getting the latest gfx drivers for the onboard vga but I imagine that it will still fall on its face Regards N.

REG ADD %KEY%\050 /VE /D ".NET FrameWork 2.0 Beta 2" /f REG ADD %KEY%\050 /V 1 /D "%systemdrive%\Install\Applications\dotnetfx.exe /q:a /c:***\***"install /l /q***\***"" /f I've put *** around the characters I've added to your example above, as I cant bold them within this code tag . I cant remember in this coding way of things whether its a \ or a ^ (even ^^) Try each one and post back which one (if any of them) works Cheers N.

Please stick to the topic! This is Microsoft Update unattended intregation, not WU in Firefox. I suggest you start a new topic on the relevant board [interesting to know tho, but for another discussion I think - post it in the wondows xp board and remove the content from your post here (or change it into a link to the other topic ] Cheers Nath.

No problem, but it would be illegal as they are two seperate products Regards, Nath.
-
indeed - all the routers I've seen have the option to change it in the web management system bit of the routers config, so it's bound to be there somewhere Ta, Nath.
-
um... google http://www.columbia.edu/acis/access/oncamp...security-3.html also, choose your product off the following list and see if any of the support docs help http://kbserver.netgear.com/products/WGR614.asp Good luck, N.

You need to escape the "s I'd say i.e. the ones inside the command line Nath.

What you were asking is against the rules. Please abide by them in future And MHz is right, you'll have to buy the full version or get a oem version with hardware from a retailer. Regards Nath
