I dont think it will loose the stuff, just rename and set up the new domain and delete the old workgroup and domain. Make a back - Up of all the stuff on the comp (Win 98) and then transfer. My suggestion isthat you get rid of Win 98. Win 98 is soooo crap for networking. I just had problem after problem. Get a better OS for it. 2000, ME or XP. XP being the better one Gl mate.

Its either the ports or Gamespy. I would go with Gamespy. Has troubles with networking and personally i dont use it or like it. Try re-installing gamespy (did you have it previously on this comp before the network?) and find out the ports of your game. Does your modem have a hardware firewall?!

But if you dont need to reinstall it why do you need the disc?! lol. Yeah, Microsoft will send ya out another one, no need to go to PC World etc, wasting your money there.
