jackpot.. I started keeping an updated list about all the cool icon places i find...

same thing i did a while back with those skinning sites ;-) anyhow here is the direct link

http://babis.us/icons.html

be my guest and check it out ;-)

At last, a site that indexes all the XP Icon sites out there. Its been hard to keep up with old sites falling out due to host problems and new ones popping up. This site makes it a lifesaver! Thanks Babis!

01 and 05 are temp offline and they should be back online asap..

but both of them are quite worth the wait.. they really great sites..

what can we use them for ?

you can use them to replace your existing icons with a program like iphile with nicer looking icons, which you can find from the above site(s) :)

Homer, you worry too much, you're a bit paranoid about these tools and themes.

None of these utilities affect windows system files, even if it did - Windows File Protection would alert you and ask you to put the WinXP CD in to restore the modified files.

Also these programs run in a seperate memory space, so if it crashes, it doesn't affect the OS. That's the beauty of NT Operating Systems! (NT4, Win2k, XP)

I am indeed i dunno why just new at i gues.

right ok i see.

Also lets say you did go crazy and mess something up, How do you think we all became so experianced in PC and software? We all messed things up and learned how to fix them. Something you will have to do to learn anything.
