  1. Here's a couple of tweaks I've heard through the grapevine for Firefox: Type about:config into the address line of Firefox. This is basically a file that lets you control almost every setting possible in Firefox. Scroll down and change the value of the following: network.http.pipelining network.http.proxy.pipelining (both normally set to false, change them to true) network.http.pipelining.maxrequests (normally at 4, change to a larger number like 30) Normally the browser will make one request to a web page at a time. When you enable pipelining it will make several at once, which really speeds up page loading times. Lastly, right-click anywhere and select New-> Integer. Name it "nglayout.initialpaint.delay" and set its value to "0". This value is the amount of time the browser waits before it acts on information it receives. (Credit goes to my friend Sheets) Enjoy!
  2. I think the OSX theme only looks good on a Mac. I mean, without the crazy cool visual effects, the style is nothing. Same thing with Longhorn. Being just a theme without the respective effects makes it nothing more than a cheap mask. That's just what I believe, though... P.S. I'm just running XP Pro with the MCE2005 Energy Blue Theme. I've messed around with others, but stuff directly from Microsoft seems to work the best. Sucks, but it's just the way it is.
  3. @John0877, what theme is that your using? It looks exactly like the Energy BLue Media Center Theme (im currently using it), only with dark blue...
  4. Hey, im using Zone Alarm 5.1, and for some reason, when Windows XP (Professional) boots, evidently svchost.exe is asking for server rights. I know about some of this program's uses, but was unaware of why it would need to act as a server. Everytime I deny it the ability, nothing acts wierd, so I wondered if anyone else could enlighten me upon my situation...
