Well I think the answer is right there.....What was the last program you installed with this file reference? Trace back your steps....And if you didnt install something like this I would suggest you get a trojan app that will scan your drives. Maybe a trojan....:confused :confused -Chris

Good ol Dan.....Its not the main issue of it running with XP , The security sucks....Go to a few websites and do a full port scan, Youll see what everyone means by IT SUCKS! -chris

Well....For the past 6 months Ive used every build that has come out with XP and there has never been any themes built right in with XP plus. Are you refering to the interface, like old style windows? When you say themes I take it as your refering to what is offered in XP Pus.....the space theme ex.ex.ex.....:confused -Chris

Nope it probaly already did it. During the final min. of your instalation it will go through your network setup. Thats when it gives you a choice to activate. If your not paying attention closely it will just pass you right by. Seems so easy huh....well Im about to find out if its a pain in the butt to reactivate it, as I have a format schedule for tonight....Wish me luck! -Chris

Sure when blocking something it might....but do you have a clue whats leaving your pc? Ever get a trojan....keylogger....you wont know that your sending information out from your pc for a long time. Not to mention, believe it or not XP firewall sometimes causes promblems when using messanger to send and recieve files. Oh you like ftp servering or downloading....uh uh...Give it up if you like XP firewall. Its a promblem child. Best bet if you want high security. Get a router with a built in firewall and runn a software app firewall! Which app is better.....who the heck knows, everyone has a different option -Chris

Not that Im aware of but you can post the file name of the ISO and size and others can do the same and see if it matches. Make sure you explain what is included. For ex. I have office XP + Frontpage 2002. Theres others out there that included publisher and others that just office only. -Chris

Napster....heck no...I usually use kazza or Morpheus but becuase its not reliable and stable on XP ill be spending more dam money and getting a new hard drive today. My little brother only likes that and AOL messanger. So have to get a bigger drive and reformat EVERYTHING. I worked all night and have to spend all day doing this crap...the things you do for family...grrrrr. -Chris

Ok I went on the XP newsgroups, Both private and public and have spent some time on this subject only because alot of people are having the same promblem with this. I havent solved it but I have it down to 3 main things....so lets see if you might have a few of them. People that have had this error usually have one if not all of the following things installed in there system [b:ce01cc4df3]1. Soundblaster Live sound card 2. Roxio's CD Creator 3. VIA Chipset[/b:ce01cc4df3] Now I see that you dont have the soundblaster, but you do have a VIA Chipset. How about CD Creator? Im not saying this is the promblem Im just reporting what Ive noticed with several dozen PC having this promblem. Ive search MicroSHafts Data base and they dont contain such an error under Hardware or Software errors stops. So if you have CD Creator why dont you try to uninstall that first. If you dont have that let me know the Model and maker of your Motherboard is and Ill see what I can find. -Chris

Its advised you install XP last so it has control over the boot.inf....

Check you outbox, and inbox...on left where it says show messages from "make that say from begaining" and delete everything in both boxes, You also might have a tracking box to under the inbox drop down...Check that and delete everything. -Chris
