Well another thing is when dealing with new drive they can be toucj where there connected on the ribbon. It use to be ok to just connect anywhere and as long as the jumpers were ok they would be reconized. But now there real picky. Especially the western drives. The last connections on a dual ribbion (80 pin) should always be on the master and the middle connection on the slave. Other than that sedative has answered your questions ... ...Also if you use the 3and half floppy that comes with the drives they can screw everything up, make your system think theres a virus on them. It installes that easy bios crap. Never use the install disk that come with them. -XPerties

hey hey, SO you got it....Ok let me understand you ...Did you partition the drive (100) and you split it as 80gig and 20gig? and you can see the extra 20 on that drive? Or is it the seperate drive you cant see? Im sure I know what you need to do, just need to know which 20 you cant see. If its the seperate hard drive....I believe you got the western right? There picking on the connects on the 80 pin ribbon. Let me know which it is and Ill walk you through it. -XPerties

whats your system specs? Are you overloading your cpu with a bunch of crap loading up with windows. Its alwasy nice to have a login screen. This gives your system a little more time to relax on boot up. -XPerties

When you want to dual boot always install XP last, and do not use any third party software like boot magic. Should work fine -XPerties

ya it really doesnt do much, in fact it was based on using the new drivers for the cpu. But by defualt if you have a pent they will be installed on your first visit to windows updates. -XPerties

To enable certain programs to have a allowed amount of time to start up with out having errors. Sorta like Zone Alarm need in the early stages of its versions. -XPerties

How To : Add Custom Folder to My Computer or the Desktop Create the following series of keys and values in the registry at [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOTCLSID] or [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREClassesCLSID]. The GUID, globally unique identifier, can be a random number, in this example "FD4DF9E0-E3DE-11CE-BFCF-ABCD1DE12345" is used. See this article for more GUID examples. 1. you have tried all drivers.....well theres alot out there, that I would think would be hard to do. But anyways have you checked your irq's to see if you were having a conflict. Antoher mod on here couldnt figure it out till we ran across it last night. Its worth a try. Just for your info you should not have anything sharing a irq with your card except a contoller. -XPerties

OK, lets say theres a cd that I need to copy. I need to make 2 disk out of one. Now without saying what it is you should already know that this copy will be going to be a backup copy for myself...cough cough. Think of the cd as being one of the most popular apps out now. Its copyright of course. Im needing to know what app to use to make a exzact copy to another disk? I have to make this with in the next day or so....Your advice would be appreciated. oh and please help me out even more by including directions and steps on how to do this using the app you suggest. -XPerties

Ok, for my files to be able to be sent through messenger I need to set my router up to the port the app is triggered on will be able to recieve the return info. Does anyone know this information??? At least I think thats the promblem. I was able to finally set up my ftp server to open up for people to connect. Now I can recieve files through messenger but I can not sent. -Xperties

Dud...sorry...look I have spent hours on this dam error, actually I ready to p*** on XP and this error....JK.....anyways I read the newsgroups and talk to some XP techs...Its all about your graphics card and the support its getting from the drivers. Its an old card, you might just think about getting a newer card, there preety cheap now. I dont no what to tell you. I have access to sever data bases and again its all about the card. You have tried differetn drivers you said.I see you never said the maker of the mx card, what is it? Heres an idea, try some of the 1200 drivers, the lower ends...worth a try. -Sorry, XPerties
