Ya I got it, but just a little disappointed probaly in myself and M$...Only becuase I was under the impression that this could be done very easy...myself becuase I didnt research it enough before I wiped out 98/2000. Now I have to reinstall everything. Even tho I can remove the shotcuts it doesnt stop them from exploring c: drive and running the exe file. I know I can block that but I have a major s*** load of apps and games that a 14 year doesnt need to get to!Looks like Ill be spending another day off of work in front of the computer...s***! -Chris:mad:

Rick, I checked out his link...Its another forums, What he did was just post a link from IE, Which is a address for his browser to logg on Immediatly like we have for this one. The forums are nice, manly like a warez and some helpful hints. -Chris

Dont think that has anything to do with the drivers or creative. I have the same promblem and Im using a Turtle beach sound card.Think its more of a XP thing. -Chris

Yes your manuf does say that theres no drivers out, Thats why I post the link I did that gives you drivers for your card that will support XP. -Chris

It took 5 min....WTF....I think it takes a total of 30-45 sec from the first time I touch the power button till XP is completly loaded and ready for use. Wow man sound like a hardware upgrade would be better for you in the future. -Chris

sorry guys, I have bad news.....there isnt no cover. the cd comes in a double folder thats made out of cardboard. when you flip both sides back and revill the cd it sits on a foam like coaster. thats it, nothin more. No cover, no back cover!:mad: think they could have been a little more cheaper.....freaking basterds! -Chris

Ya I found that after I posted that but dam guys I thought there was alot easier way with XP. Hell If I right click on the program and choose not to share that program under propertis it still shares. Then I have to go back throught the all users folder and delet the short cuts. Ok Im running retail and never really had to worry about this till now. Im setting up 4 user on my PC but I dont want anyone else to be able to acsess certain apps and programs. There my younger brothers. What I did was: Created 4 users - 1 admin and 4 regular Installed apps Now everyone can see them in there start menu, when I right click on a app in my start menu and click hide its still showing up in everyone else user. Ive been able to lock other user from using them but I have alot of crap and I dont want them to use them or it to cludder up there windows....Any help? Ive also deleted the users and added them again and it still keeps showing up on there users. -Chris

ok...this is it, This is the last chance that you will get on intructions on how to install xp. Its real easy so print these out and follow them in this order. If you have Home version of XP download this to your computer and run the .exe app. It will make a boot disks to install XP from DOS. You will need probaly 6 3.5 disketts. Home Version - h*tp://www.microsoft.com/downloads/release.asp?releaseid=33290 Pro Version - ht*p://www.microsoft.com/downloads/release.asp?releaseid=33291 Now boot with a 98 startup disk to get to your DOS prompt....Erase everything by switching dir and type the command as followed: c: format c: It will ask you if you want to proceed to format you will lose all information, click yes. After it is done it will ask you to put a volume level, Just click enter. Do this to all dir that have any OS on them... (d:, e:, f: on and on) Once your done formatted all your drives put in the first disk that you created for XP with the above links. Boot from them and make sure you have XP disk in the drive while doing this. And thats it....cant get any easier. -Chris

You downloaded the lastes drivers and software called IntelliType Pro software right? Ok before installing what I had to do to get my wireless keyboard and mouse to work is delete all entries in the registry, delete software, then delet the keyboard in device manager, reboot it will find new device.....dont let it install anything, click cancel...then runn the software , and after that let it look for the drivers on your pc. -Chris

Theres updated drivers for your card....Not knowing if this will help out with the tv part but its worth a try. Also the software that you use to view the tv channels....have you checked to see if theres a updated version of that? Drivers updates: ht*p://www.guru3d.com/files/ -Chris
