  1. Hello Windows XP gaming community. I have what i believe are good news for you, if you are into emulation. I'm a developer and i've recently modified the latest version of the popular PCSX2 PlayStation 2 emulator to make it run again under the Windows XP operating system, since they removed that compatibility by 2016. The development to my modified version of PCSX2 started in May 2020, just when the latest stable official release was made public (v1.6.0), confirming it wasn't indeed compatible with XP. I wanted to do something about it, so i started peeking the code and considering the options i had. Well, after months of testing and patience, i got the latest v1.6.0 stable release from May 2020 running perfectly fine under XP. This project is called "PCSX2 XP" and is been made available from my website: http://neonfloppy.sytes.net/projects/pcsx2-xp/ and there is also a github repository: https://github.com/blueclouds8666/pcsx2_XP You may also join to my discord server, where you can find about my other projects and chat with other xp fans: https://discord.gg/KXKXcs4 I will be answering any questions you have regarding my project down below. I hope you all find this useful. Thanks for your attention.

  3. Thanks for your testimony. My contribution was very small, the credit goes to our Roytam1. After all, our aim, which unites all MSFN members, is this. Contribute to lend a hand to everyone, according to our possibilities. P.S. My Nick Name (Sampei Nihira) is a tribute to a Japanese manga that takes its name in English: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fisherman_Sanpei Sampei gives me the opportunity to remember my youth at any time. And this memory warms my heart, almost a hug from so many loved ones that at my age I lost forever. Forgive this OT.

  4. ... Even if the "issue" can be reproduced using official Interlink on a sanctioned Windows OS version and even if the "issue" is acknowledged as a genuine bug by M.A.T. (one person's "unfathomably unacceptable" could very well equate "take it or leave it" in M.A.T.'s universe ) and even if the bug is fixed, the fix will arrive to the reporting user only in binary form, via a future Interlink build release ; i.e., the Binary Outcast source code repository being private, the fix in source code form (commit) won't be public, thus not portable to the fork (Mail News) in a straightforward fashion... @Dylan Cruz: Do you now see the broader picture?

  6. WindowsBlinds by Stardock. You have to pay, and it's not as fluid. You also have to find the themes you want yourself.

  8. @Winillya2k any progress with updates? If I was wrong to expect R2 to work like Windows 7, or if you already have R2 SP1 updated to July 2019 (the last of the dual-signed updates), then you may need to manually install updates that add support for SHA-2. In addition to the 2019 link provided above, this is discussed in Windows Update SHA-1 based endpoints discontinued for older Windows devices under How to update Windows devices to SHA-2. Of course updating beyond January 2020 should not be possible without a paid ESU license.
