  1. @Jody Thornton thanks for the update. I have Windows 8 on another machine... not so bad... especially when I install ClassicShell for the Start Menu ;) I had to pull back on the Vista/Server2008 Updates the other day. I use a program called Chief Architect, which had been working fine. I noticed when rendering 3D models, instead of taking 5 seconds, it was taking 50 seconds! I checked various other issues (video drivers, ram, background programs/services), but couldn't isolate it to anything. I restored to an April 2018 Backup (which did have the March 2018 patches/updates) and it went back to 5 seconds. So I suspect "something" happened in the April/May/June Patches (had not yet done July/August). If I have some spare time, maybe I'll read the various Patches and see if any of them could have impacted Video Card/3D Rendering.

Naah, those apply to the southern hemisphere only, in the northern one you need a crossbow, an hourglass, three goats and a trumpet : https://www.imdb.com/title/tt1298650/quotes/qt1491333 Just in case: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/262841/command-line-switches-for-windows-software-update-packages jaclaz

  4. well i disagree with your statement entirely, with that being said and relevant to your criticism, the file version for the retrozilla application file in my retrozilla 2.2 with tls 1.2 packaged web browser is 1.8.20180.5282 for those that are experimenting and have the same version file in their package.

  5. The 1st and most improtant thing to do is to dress in a perfectly white three-piece suit with a sky-blue silk shirt and a white silk tie. Add to that a white Borsalino hat with a sky-blue ribbon (not black) and blue-lensed John Lennon style glasses. Then orient your computer so that, while seated in front of it, you're facing due north. And there you go!

  6. I am using Avast version 12.3.2280 released about a year and a half ago I am not very keen on the later versions. On my other computer win7 pro I am using Panda free which is very light and has a pretty good malware-detection scores. Still support winxp. I strongly recommend it. cheers

  7. After manually installing the IE8 update, I got all the applicable above updates except the one for .Net 4.0. That one I manually downloaded and ran with the /OVERWRITEOEM switch.

  9. @dencorso... that's weird. I'm gonna try again and I'm gonna reboot my pc this time. Perhaps it didn't update the settings for whatever reason, or perhaps it was just the cache. Anyway, I contacted Microsoft and I have very good news: Screenshot: Full Chat:

  10. Haha, sorry, I've never made a tutorial video. Let me just repost sbkw1983's directions (which were clear), but substitute in my new link and a few other clarifications that helped me: Again, this method originally came from sbkw1983's post here, so he deserves the thanks. I just updated it for the new update (based on info from NoelC here). So please visit their posts and put thanks/likes.
