  2. ... Leave that envvar empty/don't use it at all, so that your ISP connection is used DIRECTLY for the cert revocation check (which is performed over plain HTTP); in any case, only the secure connections the game attempts should be redirected to the TLS proxy, i.e. ONLY the HTTPS_PROXY envvar should be used... Just my 2c, of course... Agreed! Do not use http_proxy=localhost:8081 and try again! BTW, the address https://ms.kartkrew.org/ms/api does not exist, neither in IE8 nor in New Moon 28, i.e. leads to the well-known 404 error: Same error in your logs!

  3. Oh! So the *agenda* here on this Circle Jerk Discussion is for the developer of Supermium to go out and get the same exact video driver, the same exact monitor, the same exact everything, so that all the rest of us no longer have to listen to the BIATCH AND MOAN about "brightness" that shows up every three weeks and lands itself in every topic from media players to web browsers.

  4. Check Variable MTRRs (and use something like Disk Test from AIDA64 for tests, it is much more clearer).

  5. That's the 2nd person to claim I have a Dell 2407. I do not! But nice try. My mistake for not correcting the 1st person, I suppose. I forgot how close-nit the "posse" is.

  6. NOT TRUE !!! I have used and you and I are as opposite as opposite can be on Vista - IT IS BY FAR THE UTMOST WORST OS I HAVE EVER USED !!! Post your "complaint" regarding Supermium AT GITHUB. And I'll be the first to "laugh out loud" when the developer replies no color has changed. Changing the tab bar color is one thing, THAT IS NOT WHAT YOU KEEP COMPLAINING ABOUT, you "all" keep complaining about overall brightness and font issues. THIS IS A DEAD END. Not relevant! Brave is by far the most BLOATED browser I've ever ran across! I've had to axe out more out of Brave than I've ever had to axe out of 360Chrome! You have to compare to "virgin Chrome". THEY ARE REVEALED IN THE DEV TOOLS CSS DECLARATIONS. I CANNOT FIND ANY CSS COLOR CHANGES. AND NEITHER CAN YOU OR YOU WOULD POST A SCREENCAP OF DEV TOOLS AND PROCLAIM "TOLD YOU SO". YOU HAVE DONE NO "TOLD YOU SO" BECAUSE YOU CANNOT FIND ANY CSS COLOR CHANGE. Q. E. D. THIS IS A DEAD END. THIS IS A DEAD END. THIS IS A DEAD END. Done... Toodles... This has become nothing but a gigantic CIRCLE JERK... Contact GITHUB...

  7. It glows with piercing white, like it has an additional illumination layer. Wheras it doesn't glow in Brave.

  8. So you actually acknowledge the default theme had been tampered with. This tampering could easily set all colours off. That's why the question must be asked.

  9. Read the whole thread. Too many folks keep speed-reading and jumping over the important parts. The INACTIVE WINDOW is light gray. But that light gray in Official Chrome is changed to BLUE in Supermium. The "offense" is that a light gray is changed to (and I *quote*) "piercing white". Blue does not equal "piercing white", SO THE INACTIVE WINDOW (TAB BAR) IS *NOT* THE "OFFENSE". By all means, ask the developer himself. He's going to tell you the same exact thing that I've already told you - NO COLORS HAVE BEEN CHANGED. Font rendering has been changed, but that is NOT what is being "complained about". Until we find proof in a CSS DECLARATION, then you "dark mode" folks can keep running in circles all you want (none of you use Supermium anyway). I, on the other hand, have a vested interest in Supermium. I need a PORTABLE chrome-based for a laptop being set up for streaming. Some have had success with Supermium+Widevine, others have not. I'm still in-process.

  10. @Dave-H, @VistaLover, friends, could you ask the question on github? I'm pretty sure @NotHereToPlayGames won't do it, since he said he was hiding, so I'm not even asking. The question is simple, why there was a brightness increase made, probably he has an eye condition, but then again, not everyone does. Also, why the colour was changed to piercing white from light grey. Thank you all! More here: https://msfn.org/board/topic/185045-supermium/page/113/#findComment-1278763

  11. If I was bashing on an old version, then yeah. In this case, the brightness keeps climbing up with every and each release. Like the author's monitor was closer ans closer to the deathbed, Or his eyesight rapidly declined.

  12. @NotHereToPlayGames, fix your monitor!!!!!!!!!!!! Browser on the right has proper white colour.

  13. Yes, I am. The key needs to be purchased for 10 000 Canadian dollars or so, it was explained by the win32ss in the issues thread. I'm sorry, I won't browse through 16183218318 pages of issues. But you're very welcome.

  14. No, the problem is not my IP, r3dfox 128 opens all sites from Cloudflare. 115 and older ones don't pass the check. 115 sometimes, and versions below 98 always fail.

  15. This thread is nothing more than a bunch of know-it-all's (myself included, lol) talking in circles because, well, because we know it all. There is now a REAL followup to this at GitHub (which I have been requesting all along) - https://github.com/win32ss/supermium/issues/1229 And this **IS** a Supermium issue! No other Chrome Forks changed the name of the flag and its default state, only Supermium did this, no others! "Your subjectivity has biased your objectivity."

  17. Correction. It is something inside Supermium. I get the "correct" rendering (includes elements above and immediately below red bar) in 360Chrome v13.5 in both XP and in Win10. So that rules out it being the OS. But I do not think it is flag or command line.

  18. Good idea, but he needs to do it after he tests with 7 or Vista ISO.

  19. @Snowshoe! However, the address https://ms.kartkrew.org/ms/api/games/SRB2Kart/10/servers?v=2.2 exists and can be accessed by IE8 while running ProxHTTPSProxy: ProxHTTPSProxy's log is fine, no errors: Cheers, AstroSkipper

  20. Totally forgot to mention! This version is the most recent. Furthermore, I changed a bit the entry in the config.ini file: ### Ignore SSL certificate verify, Use at your own risk!!! ### Proxy setting still effective [SSL No-Verify] fe2.update.microsoft.com *.12306.cn https://ms.kartkrew.org/*

  22. Hello @Snowshoe! I could successfully connect to https://ms.kartkrew.org/ using IE8 with ProxHTTPSProxy (part of my package ProxHTTPSProxy's PopMenu TLS 1.3 3V3) enabled: To connect successfully, you have to edit the config.ini of ProxHTTPSProxy under the section [SSL No-Verify]: Cheers, AstroSkipper

  23. Hello @Vistapocalypse! WiseVector StopX does not provide more details about the hardware requirements, neither in the program documentation nor in the FAQ on their homepage. I own additionally an old computer with an Athlon XP 3200+ CPU which comes with the SSE instruction set, but lacks of the SSE2 feature. I will test WiseVector StopX on this computer the next days, when time is available, of course.

  24. I honesly didn't do any research regarding this issue earlier . But as far as I can see now , it's impossible - It has something to do with the famous "meltdown" patch . Oh , by the way , what do you need all those updates for ? It's likely they don't do any good . I run absolutely virgin SP2 for my internet PC for more than 11 years and SP1 for gaming (almost 13 years). The only updates I installed is what was really needed (like DX11 for the games) , VCRedist and Net 4.5.1 (the fastest for Vista in my experience). Recently I installed the one that win32 suggested, just for testing , I will delete it later , I can't say it is bad . It somewhat improved the sound in SP2 (which is good since SP2 sounds much worse than SP1) , but at the same time my boot speed is slower now. Yet again , I don't see any marginal improvement from installing updates. You're better off with a good firewall .

  25. Hi , I've managed to launch Streets of smth 4 (name changed), it loads the main menu and that's it , as soon as I press start the story , it lets me choose the character , but then it crashes and shows the log file. I've replaced my perfectly working Framework 4.5.1 with 4.5.2 and it didn't help. v04-s r10933 CultureNotFoundException Culture is not supported. 26. Thank you , it worked ! Though there are warning messages (huge) , right at the start "this flag is not supported" (they are lying , of course , it is definitely supported, otherwise it wouldn't work, they just want everyone on Win10) , and the second huge and long banner "...you're on Vista or XP..." they are EXTREMELY annoying and on white background , which is insane . Extensions won't load , even unpacked with this error "Default locale ... bla , bla , bla ... couldn't be loaded". and something about manifest. I was not going to use this "browser" with such ugly interface anyway , it's just for testing purposes , because others have asked.

  28. So I've finally managed to launch chromium ungoogled 86.0.4240.183 64bit , after I deleted a ton of junk/bloatware bundled within , but it shows this famous blank page with "Aw , snap" : Error code: STATUS_ACCESS_VIOLATION. The thing I liked , it uses native Vista Aero.

  29. Hi , you should definitely return to Vista as your main OS , I don't know anything about Spotify, but I'm sure Mallware bytes 3.5.1 is working and Comodo firewall too , you can look up the last working version in this section below Have you tried Ashampoo Office ?
